Preparation of Fe2O3-Clorprenaline/Tetraphenylborate Nanospheres and Their Application as Ion Selective Electrode for Determination of Clorprenaline in Pork

Abstract: A novel modified ion selective electrode based on Fe2O3-clorprenaline/tetraphenylborate nanospheres (Fe2O3-CLPT NSs) as electroactive materials for the determination of clorprenaline hydrochloride (CLP) is described. The α-Fe2O3 nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis, then self-assembled on CLP/tetraphenylborate (TPB) to form Fe2O3-CLPT NSs, which were used as a potentiometric electrode for analyte determination innovatively. The Fe2O3-CLPT NSs modified electrode exhibited a wider concentr… Show more

“…In the past ten years, LC-MS has been widely used for the determination of vanillin[ 12 , 19 , 20 ] but has suffered from a few disadvantages, such as its complicated and time-consuming nature and poor recovery. Common electrochemical methods include oscillographic polarography[ 21 , 22 ], the ion-selective electrode method[ 23 , 24 ], and the chemically modified electrode method[ 25 ]. Therefore, methods that provide useful information, high sensitivity, and good resolution and selectivity for vanillin determination are needed.…”

“…Its chemical name is 1-(2-chlorophenyl)-2-isopropylamino-ethanol and its molecular formula is C 11 H 16 ClNO. It has a molecular weight of 213.7, and its sulfate is white or almost white crystalline powder (Shao, Zhang, Li, Yue, & Chen, 2016). CLP can be used to treat symptoms such as animal cold.…”
