Abstract: Sekalipun sudah berusia 20 tahun sejak penerbitannya, buku ini masih relevan bagi diskusi mengenai agama orang Israel di tingkat keluarga. Perhatian terhadap apa yang terjadi pada keluarga-keluarga Israel menjadi penyeimbang terhadap studi PL yang selama ini lebih banyak bertumpu pada kesaksian teks PL itu sendiri.
