Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin okula bağlanma düzeylerinin cinsiyet, yaş, sınıf, aile ekonomik durumu, anne-baba eğitim durumu ve akademik başarı düzeyleri açısından incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın katılımcıları yaş ortalaması 12.6 olan toplam 552 (280 kız, 272 erkek) ortaokul öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında Savi (2011) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan "Çocuk ve Ergenler İçin Okula Bağlanma Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Kızların okula bağlanma düzeyleri erkeklerden daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin yaşı ve sınıfı ilerledikçe okula bağlanma düzeylerinin düştüğü belirlenmiştir. Ailesinin ekonomik durumu ve anne-babasının eğitim durumu yüksek olan öğrencilerin okula bağlanma düzeyleri, ailesinin ekonomik durumu ve anne-babasının eğitim durumu düşük olan öğrencilere göre daha yüksektir. Akademik başarı düzeyi yüksek olan öğrencilerin okula bağlanma düzeyleri, akademik başarı düzeyi düşük olan öğrencilere göre daha yüksek olarak bulunmuştur.

The Metaphoric Perceptions of Students in Private High Schools About the School Concept and the Views of the Ideal School

One of the most effective ways to understand the structure of that concept is to reveal individuals' mental perceptions through metaphor. The views put forward regarding the metaphorical way of understanding physical and social reality against the concept of school also increased academic interest in this subject. The aim of this study is to determine students' perceptions of schools through metaphorical perception and to identify their views on the ideal school concept. The study consists of 94 students studying at a private high school in 2019 in Antalya. It was carried out with phenomenological pattern of the qualitative research method. Maximum diversity sampling method was used in the study. As a data collection tool, first forms were distributed to students and they were asked to write the metaphor about the school then students were interviewed to take their views on the ideal school. According to the research, while high number of students perceive the school a prison, mental hospital; it was seen that they expressed them with negative concepts such as a closed box, zoo, darkness and slavery, it was observed that the students expressed the school as a home, nursery or family with positive concepts less often. The physical conditions of the ideal school that students dream of are more suitable and useful; lecture programs are lighter; they express it as an effective school in which practical lessons are increased.

The aim of this research was to examine the school perceptions according to the views of children aged 48-71 months and who attend preschool educational institutions. 117 children who were 48-71 month old in kindergartens of 4 primary education schools and 3 independent infant schools in Bolu constitute the study group of the research. The descriptive case study pattern has been used for qualitative research methods. The data of the Research was collected by using the drawing technique and by giving the directive to the children to "Draw a picture of a school for me". The results were analyzed through descriptive analysis. After analysis, it has been determined that the majority of the children draw school building with physical characteristics. In some children's pictures, it has emerged that the school is seen as a social environment in which social relations are established and developed and in some children's pictures, the school is regarded as a place that meets the needs for play and movement. As a result of this research, it has been concluded that the quality and quantity of preschool education institutions are influential in children's perception of the school.
