The Effect of Basic Psychological Needs and Wisdom on Successful Aging in the Elderly

Abstract: Purpose: This study was designed to investigate the impact of the elderly's basic psychological needs and wisdom on successful aging. Methods: The study participants were 150 elderly people aged at least fifty five years of age. “…When the literature on older adult women is reviewed, it is noticed the risk factors such as disordered eating behaviors (Thompson & Bardone-Cone, 2019), mental health problems (Yıldırım, Büyükkayacı-Duman & Keskin, 2019), loneliness (Singh & Kiran, 2013) and risk groups such as alcoholism (Epstein, Fischer-Elber & Al-Otaiba, 2007), refugee, asylum seeker and immigrant women (Başterzi, 2017) were discussed more in the studies.
