Some previous research has reported the effectiveness of RME in improving students' problem solving ability and cognitive achievement. This quasi experimental research, therefore, aimed to investigate the difference in students' mathematics cognitive achievement after implementing RME and conventional learning. The controlled treatment consisted of mathematics learning with RME equipped with snake and ladder board game and conventional learning. Instrument measuring students' cognitive achievement was developed by the researcher and validated by some experts prior to the research. The results of the t-test confirmed the difference in students' cognitive achievement both of the experimental and control group. The students who were taught with RME achieved better than the students who were involved in conventional learning. This research finding has suggested that it is important for teachers to empower students' intellectual ability through RME and games in order that meaningful and contextual learning can be generated. It is recommended that future research will explore the effect of RME on students' attitude, problem-solving ability, learning interest, or other variables related to mathematics learning.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the Assurance Relevance Interest Assessment Satisfaction (ARIAS) strategies set with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) on students' learning motivation. This quasi experimental study employed a pretest-post test nonequivalent control group design. The population of the research was all the eleventh graders who were enrolled in the science classes of public senior high schools (SMA) in Makassar, Indonesia. There were 21 schools in total. Random sampling technique was used to select 78 participants who were divided into two groups of treatment: 39 students for each treatment. Research instruments were developed based on the Attention, Relevance, Confident, Satisfaction (ARCS) model. Data on students' learning motivation was collected using a questionnaire that was distributed before and after learning. Research data was analyzed using a descriptive statistic and the analysis of covariate (ANCOVA) statistic. The results of the research suggest that learning strategies have an effect on students' motivation. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi Ibu Rumah Tangga di RW 011 Tebet Timur Jakarta Selatan dan Pemberdayaan Perempuan RT 05 Rorotan Jakarta Utara. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode Numbered Heads Together (NHT) yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu pembentukan kelompok, pemberian tugas, pembangunan ide dan kreasi yang dipandu oleh fasilitator, dan penilaian produk berdasarkan respon pasar. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai produk yang dibuat oleh Ibu Rumah Tangga selaku mitra. Kerajinan decoupage berhasil terjual sebanyak 20 dari 43 barang melalui Bazar dan Media Sosial dengan keuntungan rata – rata sebesar 25% dari harga modal. Akan tetapi, tidak ada barang yang terjual melalui E-Commerce disebabkan toko online mitra belum dikenal oleh masyarakat. Secara keseluruhan pelaksanaan kegiatan dapat memberikan peluang usaha baru bagi Ibu Rumah Tangga. Untuk meningkatkan hasil penjualan terutama melalui media E-Commerce, diperlukan pelatihan strategi pemasaran di masa mendatang.
