COVID-19 has changed the field of education. This paper aimed to re-envision the post-pandemic higher education landscape in Saudi Arabia. This study employed descriptive-qualitative research design. Twenty postgraduates completed a journal task at a public university in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The responses revealed their first-hand experience of multi-sectorial communities caused by the COVID-19 lockdown, including students, parents and teachers. Results showed that there are seven positive and eight negative impacts of emergency distance education caused by the pandemic lockdown and various themes have emerged, including Social and Educational. To succeed in the post-pandemic era, teachers need to acquire online pedagogical content knowledge and teaching strategies, conduct effective student evaluation and engage students in both virtual and in-person labs and classrooms. This study contributes to quality access of students toward online learning in countries, where distance education is still in its infant stage, such as Saudi Arabia. In the modern society when intelligent mobile devices become popular, the Internet breaks through the restrictions on time and space and becomes a ubiquitous learning tool. Designing teaching activity for digital learning and flexibly applying technology tools are the key issues for current information technology integrated education. In this study, students are tested and proceeded questionnaire survey to understand the opinions about digital learning. To effectively achieve the research objectives and test the research hypotheses, quasi-experimental research is applied in this study. Total 116 students in 4 classes are selected as the research subjects for the instructional research. The research results conclude that 1.digital learning presents better positive effects on learning motivation than traditional teaching does, 2.digital learning shows better positive effects on learning outcome than traditional teaching does, 3.learning motivation reveals significantly positive effects on learning effect in learning outcome, and 4.learning motivation appears remarkably positive effects on learning gain in learning outcome. It is expected to combine with current teaching trend and utilize the advantages of digital learning to develop practicable teaching strategies for the teaching effectiveness.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran interkatif untuk materi Sistem Persmaan Liner Dua Variabel. Materi disajikan dengan metode pembelajaran Drill and Practice dengan memberikan banyak soal latihan. Untuk meningkatkan minat dan ketertarikan siswa dalam belajar, pada media pembelajaran diimplementasikan sejumlah elemen gamifikasi seperti badges, leaderboards, dan experience point. Media pembelajaran dikembangan menggunakan konsep System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) yaitu planning, analysis, design dan implementation. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu sebuah media pembelajaran interaktif untuk materi Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel. Fungsionalitas media pembelajaran diuji dengan menggunakan metode Black Box. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian fungsionalitas, semua fitur pada aplikasi media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dapat berfungsi dengan baik. Selanjutnya dilakukan validasi materi dan media yang dilakukan masing-masing oleh dua orang ahli. Hasil validasi materi dan media menunjukkan bahan ajar dan media sudah valid untuk digunakan.
