The Effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom Model Using E-learning Media in Introduction to Information Technology Course

Abstract: This study aimed to develop learning tools based on E-Learning in introductory information technology course. E-Learning, a web-based learning tool that uses classroom flipped learning models. The method used in this research was Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) with processed data sourced from 22 students. The effectiveness of this study was very effective because through the calculation of the Gain score it was found that the overall average value of students there was an… Show more

“…The fourth trend is about the effect of the flipped classroom in ELT (Kang, 2015;Khosravani, Khoshsima & Mohamadian, 2020;Meléndez & Iza, 2017;Mo & Mao, 2017;Rahmelina et al, 2019;Suranakkharin, 2017;Yu & Wang, 2016). Most studies investigating the flipped classroom's effectiveness confirm that the method is effective to be implemented in the ELT context (Ahmad, 2016;Alsowat, 2016;Amiryousefi, 2017;Meléndez & Iza, 2017;Mo & Mao, 2017).…”

“…Matlab can be used as a physics learning medium to display the physics concept simulation process (Mushtaq et al, 2014;Sumarni et al, 2021). This is in line with the opinion that learning media has an important influence on the classroom's learning process (Rahmelina et al, 2019;Stathopoulou et al, 2019). Most students are very interested in learning physics using innovative learning media (Astuti et al, 2018;Muqarrobin & Kuswanto, 2016).…”

“…Flipping the class can be defined as students doing homework or individual work before in-class learning (Touchton, 2015). Using online resources for flipping the class in the face-to-face setting is effective in learning (Liranti, Fadil, Ilham Tri, Hesty, & Jufriadif, 2019). Applying the flipped class for a synchronous and asynchronous blended learning using online communication tools during the pandemic was proved successful in higher education (Rehman & Fatima, 2021).…”
