This study revealed the strengths, weaknesses, and effectiveness of the flipped classroom with CALL in EFL writing class. A mixed-method approach was used to achieve the goals of the study. An embedded quasi-experimental methodology design was used to achieve the aims of this study (i.e., quantitative and qualitative data analysis). There were a hundred and fifty Indonesian EFL university learners who participated in this study. This study also involved 14 EFL writing teachers who experienced implementing the flipped classroom with CALL from five universities. The results of this study revealed that a flipped classroom with CALL in EFL writing class has many advantages, such as stimulating learner autonomy, improving teaching and learning processes, providing more time for EFL writing and input during face-to-face meetings, promoting active learning, student learning responsibility, and peer collaboration. Besides, some drawbacks were also found from its implementation. However, implementing the flipped classroom in the current study positively affects the EFL writing course. This study implies that teachers can include online resources such as videos from reputable sources or make their videos as learning materials if possible.

In the material of thermodynamics, many physics equations make students abstract in understanding the material. It is necessary to have a learning media to be able to visualize the thermodynamics material. Matlab is usually used in numerical analysis. Currently, Matlab can be used as a medium for learning physics by students to understand the material well. This study aims to develop a physics calculator application on the subject of thermodynamics using Matlab software. The research method used in this research is the research development method with the development model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The instruments used in this study were a validation test questionnaire and a student response questionnaire. The analysis technique applied is the descriptive analysis and the average analysis techniques. The results developed in this study are in the form of a Physics calculator application that helps physics calculations on thermodynamic material. The average validation result by material experts and media experts is 83.1%, with the "Good" category. In other words, according to experts, this media is suitable for use in physics learning. This application also received a positive response from students, with an average student response score of 79.8%. This application is also equipped with materials, physics calculators, physics simulations and question exercises so that it is expected to help students understand physics learning in thermodynamics material.

COVID-19 dominant academic year witnessed unprecedented educational environments. Enforced transitions to online commenced with concerns for lower quality education. This involuntary shift ironically provided grounds for bold approaches to overcome expected educational weaknesses. Addressing unfavorable circumstances of an online construction plan reading course, 3D modeling using Revit was adopted. This course initiated with low cognitive tasks, understanding construction drawings and memorizing associated terminology, which culminated in a high cognitive task, applying what is learned to building a 3D model, for both of which flipping the class, a proven educational strategy in face-to-face classrooms, was implemented. This experimental course implementation was proven successful in the survey performed after the course completion (n=99, response rate = 13%). Students understood how 2D drawings are created showing the ability to illustrate details: what materials the wall is made of, which is expected to remove the need for shop drawings and to reduce the number of RFIs. Based on the proof that Revit and flipped class helped students learn better, this study suggests a more developed course design for construction the plan reading course which is a prerequisite for higher-level construction education courses.
