Many students with autism-spectrum disorder (ASD) suffer from problems with social communication and social interaction, which inhibit their academic and personal lives. This research has evaluated the effectiveness of a training program that used the smart board (SB) to improve social communication and interaction skills in a sample of 20 students with ASD, aged 8–13. Ten of those students underwent the training program, constituting the experimental group, while the other 10 who did not undergo training, serve as the control group. The study employed a quasi-experimental approach using components, both developed by the researchers of this study: the training program just described and social communication and a social- interactive skills scale (SCSISS). The results showed a difference (p>0.05) between the experimental and the control groups on the SCSISS in the post-test (i.e., post-training test) in favour of the experimental group. There was furthermore a difference (p>0.05) between the experimental group on the SCSISS in the pre-test and in the post-test in favour of the post-tests. There was no difference between the experimental group on the SCSISS in the post-test and in the follow-up tests. Thus, the study’s findings suggest that the use of the SB should be expanded in the Autism Institute and integration schools, due to its significant benefit in improving social communication and social-interaction skills in students with ASD.

This research aimed to determine the improvement of students learning interest after the learning implementation by using whiteboard animation video based on local wisdom. The research uses a pre-experimental design of group pretest-posttest. The subjects in this resarch were students of grade X MIPA 2 of MAN 2 Yogyakarta. The data in this research were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 20 items to measure students learning interest. The data were analyzed using N-gain to find the improvement of students learning interest. The results shows that the improvement of students learning interest obtain 0.4 in the medium category. So, it can be said that the use the use whiteboard animation video based on local wisdom is effective to improve student interest in learning.

This is an open-access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Teaching represents the basic and most beneficial aspect of education. The quality of teaching is continually improved by the introduction of innovative teaching techniques and modern teaching methods. Contemporary pedagogical innovations pertaining to teaching are based on the application of information and communication technologies in education. Therefore, the educational computer software is one of the most systematic and most creative tools used in schools with the purpose of improving the concept of digital teaching practices. The educational computer software is an innovative teaching tool for an independent creation and presentation of teaching units by means of digital technologies whose purpose is the achievement of students' total and active commitment and motivation. The goal of this research was to examine the teachers' self-assessment regarding their ability to apply the educational computer software in their teaching practices. The methods used were the descriptive method and the scaling technique with the Likert-type scale (ORSON) containing 35 items. The research sample consisted of 500 teachers from Central and Southern Serbia. Four factors were extracted by the factor analysis, which explains 53.19% of the variance: digital competencies, the advantages of ORS, ORS as a teaching tool, and practical application. The research results show that teachers are qualified enough for the practical application of the educational computer software. Also, the analysis of their responses proves that they regard the educational computer software as a significant and innovative teaching tool. The research determined a statistically significant difference in the subjects' responses considering the independent research variables: gender, type of school, and teaching experience (p<0.05).
