The main trends of digitalization in agriculture

Sustainable development of food systems is a global challenge for both Russian and world economy. Within each country, the economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainability should be considered in symbiosis when forming conditions for the development of agricultural sectors. Dairy cattle breeding has always been one of the leading sub-sectors of agriculture, the prerogative of which is to provide the population with milk and dairy products in an amount that advises recommended consumption standards. Digital transformation of the sub-sector is considered as an element of the global project in the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia “Digital Agriculture”. The paper presents analytical materials on the level of self-sufficiency and economic availability of milk and dairy products in Russia as a whole, as well as the current state of the production potential of dairy cattle breeding in the Krasnoyarsk region. It was found that the loss of gross milk production due to a decrease in the number of cows compensates for the increase in productivity. It is noted that in Russia the agricultural industries are going through the next stage of serious technological changes, which is associated with the need to modernize production based on the use of information technologies, automation capabilities, digital technologies and platform solutions. This process helps to solve the main task – to ensure the sustainable development of food systems on the basis of increasing the production potential of industries.

Sustainable development strategy of the dairy agro-industrial complex through the use of waste-free technologies

Currently, waste-free technologies in the food industry play an important role in the sustainable development of dairy enterprises, as well as in solving food, economic, environmental and energy problems. One of the ways to strengthen the food industry is the introduction of new food processing technologies. This, in turn, requires more carefulness processing of agricultural raw materials and more rational use of useful ingredients. In this regard, the goal is to develop a technology for the production of cottage cheese with certain qualitative and physico-chemical properties. The research results show that albumin cottage cheese (or albumin) obtained with the help of whey protein meets quality standards, and the economic efficiency of this production product is very high which increases the production development and sustainability of agricultural enterprises.

Prospects for the use of artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector

The relevance of the study is due to the fact that there is a rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies, due to breakthroughs in the digital environment and the uncertainty of their application in the agricultural sector. It should be noted that Russia plays an important role in the world history for the development of these technologies, but the Soviet management model limits the rapid development of digital technologies in modern Russia. Artificial intelligence technologies are of particular importance, as they are used for big data analysis, robotics and as the basis for various forecasting algorithms. The article reveals the role of artificial intelligence in solving complex tasks in agriculture, identifies the main barriers to the introduction of digital technologies and identifies perspective direction of application for artificial intelligence technologies. Due to the lack of scientific developments on this issue, the lack of research on the feasibility and effectiveness of the using artificial intelligence, the lack of methodological recommendations for the introduction of these technologies and systematic training of artificial intelligence, it is difficult to use artificial intelligence in agricultural organizations. For Russia, the issue of agricultural automation is particularly important: over the past 10 years, the number of workers in the industry has more than halved. In the future, automated systems can improve rural areas and keep production there, since most of the rural population is no longer engaged in agriculture. Agriculture remains one of the most important and largest industries, and even a small increase in efficiency will lead to a significant increase due to its scale.
