“…In the case of amalgam film electrodes, the electroanalytical response of substances listed in Table 2 was significantly affected by the pH of the solution. In the case of the fungicide cyazofamid [40], a small variation in the pH from 2.4 to 2.6 caused a 50 % increase in peak current. As can be seen in Table 2, in order to obtain satisfying results it is necessary to control the pH of the supporting electrolyte with very high precision.…”

“…However, nitenpyrame contains the nitro group and its reduction occurs in two steps, with an initial reduction to hydroxylamine and the second one to amine; after careful optimization of chemical variables, it was possible to obtain two welldeveloped reduction signals [74]. Using Ag(Hg)FE-c, it is also possible to record reduction signals originating from electrochemical reduction of the cyano group [40,87,88]. The electrochemistry of cyano organic compounds at mercury electrodes is not fully explained.…”

“…More direct approach using silver amalgam based electrodes is also a recurring theme in the contemporary literature [18][19][20][21][22], all the works use a mercury film modified AgSAE for some reason, which uses small amounts of mercury for film renewal, but the mercury has to be in a toxic water soluble form, the film is much less stable than a meniscus and the electrode needs to be polished much more often, which is time consuming. Some works focus on the determination of herbicides at classical mercury electrodes [23] this method utilizes the excellent reproducibility of a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) to deconvolute the signals of three herbicides to determine them in a mixture.…”
