Thermodynamic Assessments of the Ag-Ni Binary and Ag-Cu-Ni Ternary Systems

Abstract: The phase diagram of the Ag-Ni binary system has been evaluated by using the calculation of phase diagrams (CALPHAD) method based on experimental data of the phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties. Gibbs free energies of the liquid and fcc phases were described by the subregular solution model with the Redlich-Kister equation. On the basis of the thermodynamic parameters of the Ag-Ni, Ag-Cu, and Cu-Ni systems, and experimental information of the phase equilibria in the Ag-Cu-Ni system, the thermodynamic… Show more

“…As shown in the inset of Figure b, the AgNi nanomesh on PES film showed a practically negligible change in its morphology after annealing at 250 °C for 60 min. This observation may be due to the higher melting point of AgNi compared with that of pure Ag, as seen in the Ag‐Ni phase diagram . The change in morphology of pure Ag and AgNi nanomeshes after the thermo‐mechanical stability test was confirmed by FE‐SEM analysis (see Supporting Information, Figure S6).…”

“…In the Ag-Bi-Ni and Cu-Bi-Ni ternary systems, all phase diagrams in the subbinary systems, Ag-Bi, AgNi, Bi-Ni, Cu-Bi, and Cu-Ni have been thermodynamically assessed in the previous literature, [14][15][16][17][18] as shown in Fig. 7.…”
