Abstract: Piper betle L., the leaf, is the most often used for treatment and has been scientifically proven to have antibacterial activity. “…Quercetin was used as a control solution because it is a flavonol from the group of polyphenolic flavonoid compounds found in almost every type of plant and quercetin is a natural antioxidant that has very strong antioxidant activity.
