The use of personally owned devices among learners has remained a contentious issue in schools across the globe. While several studies have been devoted to explaining the importance of such initiatives, the debate has continued to rage on, with most school authorities imposing a blanket ban on the use of these devices within their premises. In this study, we seek to contribute by examining in-service teachers’ perceptions of the use of personally owned devices in schools within the global south context. The qualitative study explores teachers’ understanding of the usefulness of technology and associated devices such as smartphones in the classroom. The Unified Theory of Use and Acceptance of Technology (UTUAT) was used to draw up a conceptual framework. Purposive sampling was employed to select in-service secondary school teachers who had at some time previously enrolled in an introduction to information technology course at a tertiary institution. Constant comparison analysis and thematic analysis were used to analyse the data from the focus groups. Thirteen thematic areas were drawn from the study and these were framed to support the conceptual framework.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are essential in improving a nation's economy. MSMEs can survive in a declining economic condition and also have the ability to absorb a large number of workers. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the global economy. This study aims to analyze the effect of information technology variables on the performance of MSMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is qualitative with a literature review approach. Several articles relating to information technology and MSME performance were used as references. The results obtained by MSMEs feel the positive impact of the role of information technology during the Covid-19 pandemic. Further research is expected to examine the role of information technology in the MSME sector. For example, SMEs in food, clothing, and others. SMEs must choose technology adaptations from the business activities and adjust to their existing financial capabilities. The government must help create adaptations for MSME actors during the Covid-19 pandemic, such as providing training and adequate technology infrastructure.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dan mengetahui respon pengguna (siswa) terhadap penerapan web-based assessment untuk melakukan penilaian sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPA dan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan metode mixed method dengan data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan data kualitatif dianalisis dengan teknik Miles and Huberman.Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket respon pengguna (siswa) dan lembar wawancara. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 6 Batang Hari yang melakukan pembelajaran IPA. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata respon pengguna yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 3.38 yang berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki respon yang baik terhadap peggunakan web-based assessment dalam pelaksanaan penilaian sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPA dan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Penggunaan web-based assessment dalam penilaian sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPA dan nilai-nilai karakter memiliki banyak keunggulan antara lain hemat biaya pengadaan, efisiensi waktu dalam pengolahan data, dan mudah untuk digunakan.
