Abstract:The description of academic stress and tendencies of using coping strategies in the gifted students. This study aims to describe the general conception of an academic stress of gifted students, tendencies of coping strategies they use, and to plan an appropriate guidance and counseling program to manage an academic stress of gifted students. This study used a descriptive method with nonprobability sampling technique and specifically took the sample by using purposive sampling. The sample is collected from gifted students of tenth-graders at SMA Negeri 4 Bandung year 2015/2016. The result showed that academic stress of gifted students is in the medium category with a percentage of 76.92. On the other hand, the tendencies of the gifted students on using coping strategies showed that the students tend to use Emotion Focused Coping, with a percentage of 53.84%. This shows that gifted students need a special attention on how to cope with problems so that it does not result in a negative way. Therefore, an appropriate service that is suitable for the needs of gifted students is required. The recommendation from this study is addressed to the school's guidance and counseling committee, teachers, and other researchers.
Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas program bimbingan dan konseling kelompok Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kuasi eksperimen dengan sampel peserta didik kelas delapan berprestasi akademik rendah di SMP Al-biruni Cerdas Mulia. Sampel yang berjumlah 27 orang dibagi dalam tiga kelompok secara random, yaitu kelompok kontrol, kelompok bimbingan akademik tentang keterampilan belajar (BKB), dan kelompok konseling kelompok yang dipadukan dengan bimbingan akademik tentang keterampilan belajar (KKBKB). Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen Academic Self-Regulation Questionnaire, Academic panduan wawancara, dan UAS IPA. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik berprestasi akademik rendah memiliki karakteristik regulasi diri dalam prestasi akademik peserta didik apabila dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol dan kelompok BKB. Efektivitas ini berkaitan dengan motivasi internal anggota kelompok KKBKB yang lebih tinggi, rencana dan strategi belajar yang lebih baik, tujuan akademik yang lebih tinggi, disiplin dan konsisten dalan menerapkan strategi belajar, lebih mampu mengatasi hambatan dalam belajar, serta memiliki kepuasan yang lebih baik terhadap hasil belajar. Kata kunci kelompok ABSTRACT This study aimed to test the effectiveness of the group guidance and counseling program to improve in junior high school of Al-Biruni Cerdas Mulia. Sample of 27 people divided into three groups randomly, the control group, a group of academic guidance on study skills (BKB), and group counseling combined with academic guidance on study skills (KKBKB). This study uses Academic when compared with the control and BKB group. Effectiveness of KKBKB group members is concerned with higher internal motivation, better learning plans and strategies, higher academic disciplined and consistent in implementing learning strategies, more able to overcome barriers of learning, and having better satisfaction on learning outcomes.
History records that sport has become an important part of Muslim civilization, but it is covered by the notion that the development of sports only originates from the civilization of the Western world. The danger that may arise from this assumption is that it creates superiority in the character and culture of European nations, simultaneously causing inferiority to the character of other nations, especially Muslims. Sports in Islam is synonymous with training the body, mind and spirit. Indonesia as a country with the largest number of Muslims in the world, of course, Islamic culture is thick in everyday life, including in the activity of sports. The purpose of this article is to explore the culture of the Islamic community in Indonesia in relation to sports. This article uses a qualitative descriptive method to support the achievement of the objectives of this article.
In Bandung Regency, there are many industries whose workers are breastfeeding mothers with workplace facilities that are not lactation friendly or do not support the implementation of exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, family support, and the role of health workers regarding exclusive breastfeeding and breastfeeding rights on exclusive breastfeeding patterns for mothers who have breastfeeding facilities in the workplace. The study design was a cross-sectional with saturated sampling technique. The study was conducted on industrial worker mothers who have babies aged more than 6 to 12 months and have breastfeeding facilities at work in the work area of the Bandung Regency Health Center as many as 32 people. The results showed that knowledge with p-value = 0.015, attitude p = 0.015, family support p = 0.015, health workers p = 0.001, and breastfeeding rights p = 0.003 had a relationship with exclusive breastfeeding patterns. The variables that have the most significant relationship are attitudes with an effect of 13.57 times and support from health workers with an effect of 26.60 times on exclusive breastfeeding compared to those without exclusive breastfeeding. The conclusion is that knowledge, attitudes, family support, the role of health workers, and breastfeeding rights have a relationship with exclusive breastfeeding patterns for industrial sector workers who have breastfeeding facilities in the workplace.ABSTRAKDi Kabupaten Bandung terdapat banyak industri yang pekerjanya adalah ibu menyusui dengan fasilitas tempat kerja yang tidak ramah laktasi atau tidak mendukung terlaksananya pemberian ASI eksklusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan, sikap, dukungan keluarga, dan peran petugas kesehatan mengenai pemberian ASI eksklusif serta hak menyusui terhadap pola pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu yang memiliki fasilitas menyusui di tempat kerja. Desain penelitian cross-sectional dengan tehnik sampling jenuh. Penelitian dilakukan pada ibu pekerja industri yang memiliki bayi usia lebih dari 6 sampai 12 bulan dan memiliki fasilitas menyusui di tempat kerja di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kabupaten Bandung yaitu sebanyak 32 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan dengan nilai p=0,015, sikap p=0,015, dukungan keluarga p=0,015, petugas kesehatan p=0,001, dan hak menyusui p=0,003 mempunyai hubungan dengan pola pemberian ASI eksklusif. Variabel yang mempunyai hubungan paling signifikan yaitu sikap dengan pengaruh sebesar 13,57 kali dan dukungan petugas kesehatan dengan pengaruh sebesar 26,60 kali terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif dibandingkan dengan yang tidak ASI eksklusif. Simpulannya adalah pengetahuan, sikap, dukungan keluarga, peran petugas kesehatan dan hak menyusui mempunyai mempunyai hubungan terhadap pola pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu pekerja sektor industri yang memiliki fasilitas menyusui di tempat kerja.Kata kunci: pengetahuan, sikap, dukungan keluarga, peran petugas kesehatan, hak menyusui
The goal of this study is to describe the career adaptability profile of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education students, as well as their developmental issues and alternatives. This is a quantitative study with a population of all the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education students at one of Cirebon City's universities, and a sample size of 70 individuals. Questionnaires and interview guides were utilized as research tools. The research data was then examined utilizing descriptive-analytic approaches, both quantitative and qualitative. The results revealed that the students of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education had a modest career adaptability score, with a percentage of 47.14 percent. In terms of gender, female students' average career adaptability score was greater than male students' average career adaptability score. Elements of career concern, career curiosity, career self-control, and elements of career contribution are all positive aspects of career adaptability. However, there is still room for improvement in terms of career self-confidence, career collaboration, and professional continuity. Conducting mentorship programs for students in preparing career plans, determining and selecting careers, enhancing the role of academic supervisors, and establishing a student career development center are all options for improving student careers.
