The main objective of this research was to depict school as professional learning community (PLC) as a way of continuous professional development (CPD). In this research, case study is used with 4 stages namely: (1) pre-field; (2) field work; (3) data analysis, and (4) evaluation and reporting. The findings of this research indicated that the elements of PLC construction covered commitment, responsibility, usefulness, collaboration collegial, as well as school culture and climate. In school, PLC is formed as a parallel group of teachers dealing with formal and informal forms of activities, having coordinators, focusing themes on improving the quality of teaching-learning services, teacher participation, and internal and external sources. The impacts of PLC on teachers included increasing self-reflection and self-renewal capacities, understanding characteristics, developing potentials, and improving the quality of teaching-learning services. Meanwhile, the role of the principal in this PLC was not only as an instructional leader but also as a motivator and a facilitator. The conclusion of this research states that PLC was able to promote CPD which led to the improvement of teaching-learning service quality. Furthermore, this research suggested a reinforcement of PLC characteristics; a need of schools to be PLCs; an improvement of teacher qualified and teaching-learning service; required integration and synergy of internal and external school resources; providing understanding to the teacher by school principal, the development of school's structural and cultural conditions, establishment of cooperation with various parties, and local governments willingness to take a big role in teacher development.
Permasalahan yang terjadi di CV Sri Rejeki ialah terdapat produk yang tidak memenuhi standar atau produk cacat. Jenis produk cacat antara lain permukaan yang tidak rata dan bentuk produk tidak sesuai cetakan. Cacat yang terjadi disebabkan Permukaan Tidak Rata yaitu Di karenakan pada saat proses penuangan cairan logam ke cetekan, temperature penuangan terlalu rendah dan pada Bentuk Produk Tidak Sesuai Cetakan yaitu Di sebabakan oleh bahan baku logam cair yang digunakan terlalu jelek dan waktu penungan yang terlalu lama. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan six sigma dengan tahapan DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, dan Control) dengan bantuan diagram pareto, dan metode TRIZ (Teoria Rechenia Izobretatelskih Zadatchi). Presentasi cacat terbesar yaitu Permukaan tidak rata dengan tingkat persentase 54%. Adapun nilai rata-rata keseluran nilai DPMO adalah 126920,25 dan nilai sigma sebesar 2,65. Dari perhitungan fmea didapatkan nilai hasil RPN tertinggi terdapat pada keahlian pekerja dengan nilai skala 112. Adapun usulan perbaikan yaitu dengan mengadakan pelatihan rutin kepada karyawan minimal 3 kali dalam sebulan dengan waktu yang telah disepakati bersama, serta memperbarui SOP dan mencetaknya guna meminimalisir terjadinya produk cacat. Juga sebelum melakukan proses peleburan bahan baku dilakukan proses pemisahan antara bahan baku yang layak dan tidak layak
The teacher's understanding of CPD is still very low. The main objective of this research is to obtain a picture of school-based teacher development through PLC in the continuous professional development in schools.The research method used is qualitative method. Pre-field includes literature review and field survey. Phase of field work, researcher entered the field in order to collect data. In the data analysis phase the researcher conducts a series of qualitative data analysis process up to the interpretation of the data. In addition, the process of data triangulation compared with library theory. While the evaluation and reporting stage conducted consultation and guidance and reporting of research results.The research findings indicate that the elements of PLC forming are commitment, responsibility, usefulness, collaboration collegial, as well as school culture and climate. While the role of the principal in this PLC is as an instructional leader, motivator, and facilitator. The conclusion of the research shows that PLC is able to promote CPD which leads to improving the quality of learning service.
<p>Tulisan ini mengkaji dan membandingkan antara konsep <em>civil society</em> dan “masyarakat madani” dari perspektif <em>worldview</em>-nya masing-masing. Bagaimana gambaran <em>civil society</em> dan “masyarakat madani” sebagai konsep dan sistem sosial dibangun oleh tradisi dan kultur masing-masing. Dari kajian ini disimpulkan bahwa penyepadanan istilah <em>civil society</em> dengan masyarakat madani tidaklah tepat. <em>Civil society</em> lahir dan tumbuh berkembang dari tradisi masyarakat Barat yang erat kaitannya dengan nilai, konsep dan doktrin pandangan hidup Barat atau <em>worldview</em> Barat. Sedangkan, masyarakat madani lahir dan dibesarkan di dalam kultur masyarakat dan peradaban Islam yang memproyeksikan dan merepresentasikan <em>din al Islam</em>. Islam tidak hanya sebagai agama ritual, namun Islam menjadi sistem sosial-politik dalam seluruh dimensi-dimensinya yang diatur di dalam worldview Islam. Jadi, secara konseptual dan sistem antara<em> civil society</em> dan masyarakat Islam berbeda. Karena itu, <em>civil society</em> tidak dapat begitu saja diterapkan dalam masyarakat Islam atau pun sebaliknya.</p>
