The objectives of this study were to: (1) describe the perceptions of students in the Mathematics Study Program of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Purwokerto University of Nahdlatul Ulama (UNU) on learning interactions between students and students and students and lecturers; (2) describe the perceptions of students in the Mathematics Study Program of UNU Purwokerto about the learning environment in online learning. The subjects of this study were students in the 2nd and the 4th semester of the Mathematics Study Program of UNU Purwokerto. This research was conducted in April - June 2020. The data in this study were obtained from questionnaires and interviews. . The subjects in this study were taken by purposive sampling technique. The data validation used the triangulation method. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed the following: 1) students had difficulty in interacting with fellow students and lecturers in online lectures. This is evidenced by the high level of presentation which shows disagreement with the statement that says student interaction in online lectures has gone well; 2) students response to the learning environment in online lectures, it can be concluded that the learning environment in online lectures has not supported students to learn.
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the learning process to be hampered and cannot be carried out face-to-face. Therefore, a solution is needed for this problem. One alternative to overcome this problem is online learning. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of online learning using online media during the Covid-19 pandemic in Mathematics courses. The subjects of this study were 51 students in the Faculty of Science and Technology, Nahdlatul Ulama University, Purwokerto. They were from five different study programs, namely Agrotechnology, Mathematics, Biology, Fisheries Science, and Agricultural Biosystems Engineering, who had taken mathematics courses. This study was carried out in June – August 2021. This study used closed, semi-closed, and open-ended questionnaires as research instruments. Then, the data collection procedure was done through Google Forms. The data obtained were then selected using purposive sampling. To get valid and reliable data, triangulation was applied in this study. Triangulation was carried out through interviews with five students whose data were selected randomly. The researchers used descriptive statistics as the data analysis. The study found that the activities most often carried out by students during Study From Home (SFH) are playing on cellphones or laptops, doing assignments, working, and sleeping. Then, related to online learning, students prefer to use WhatsApp Group media and lectures. The preferred assignments or assessments are individual assignments and quizzes. Furthermore, the learning model most favored by students is the face-to-face learning model because students consider online learning ineffective. The results of this study can be used as a reference in choosing the suitable model, method, and learning media. Therefore, online learning can be held effectively and easily accepted by students during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan definisi pemetaan (psi,varphi)_omega-kontraksi dalam ruang p-metrik modular, memberikan teorema titik tetap untuk pemetaan (psi,varphi)_omega-kontraksi pada ruang p-metrik modular, dan memberikan aplikasi dari teorema titik tetap tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemetaan (psi,varphi)_omega-kontraksi didefinisikan dalam ruang -metrik modular dengan memperumum pemetaan (psi,varphi)_omega-kontraksi dalam ruang p-metrik dan teorema titik tetap untuk pemetaan tersebut pada ruang p-metrik modular yang juga merupakan perumuman dari teorema titik tetap tersebut pada ruang p-metrik dengan penambahan beberapa sifat yang diasumsikan. Selain itu, hasil penilitian lainnya adalah aplikasi teorema titik tetap tersebut yang menjamin eksistensi solusi suatu persamaan integral yang juga merupakan perumuman dari aplikasi teorema titik tetap tersebut dalam ruang p-metrik. Dari hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemetaan (psi,varphi)_omega-kontraksi dapat didefinisikan dalam ruang p-metrik modular dan dapat dibuktikan teorema titik tetap untuk pemetaan (psi,varphi)_omega-kontraksi pada ruang p-metrik modular beserta aplikasi dari teorema titik tetap tersebut yang menjamin eksistensi solusi suatu persamaan integral.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bagaimana profil metakognisi siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika tipe HOTS ditinjau dari Adversity Quotient (AQ). AQ adalah tingkat kecerdasan seseorang dalam menghadapi masalah. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 8 SMP yang dipilih melalui teknik purposing sample berdasarkan hasil tes ARP (Adversity Respons Profile) di level AQ sedang (camper) dan level AQ tinggi (climber). Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan metakognisi siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika tipe HOTS. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes dan wawancara. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan profil metakognisi siswa dengan kategori AQ tinggi dan AQ sedang menunjukkan hasil yang sama. Pada saat penyelesaian soal, siswa melakukan indikator-indikator ketrampilan metakognisi pada tahap perencanaan dan pemantauan. Sedangkan pada saat evaluasi, semua subyek penelitian belum mampu menemukan cara yang berbeda untuk menyelesaikan soal HOTS yang diberikan.
An interaction model for the Pacific salmon and bear population in British Columbia is discussed here. The phenomenon is shown during the salmons period of migration back to their birthplace river at the end of their life. During this returning home, a large number of bears from the nearby state come and prey on them. This predation of salmon before spawning is suspected as the cause of the decline in Salmon production. Here a dynamical model involving a specific predator-prey type interaction between Salmon and Bears is constructed in the form of a non-autonomous dynamical system, in which the transition rate from the adult state of salmon to the spawning state is positive only in the month of migration. Dynamical analysis for the stability of the coexistence equilibrium for the autonomous case is shown and sensitivity analysis for the non-autonomous the case is done numerically.
