The article deals with the organization of students’ independent work on a foreign language at T. F. Gorbachev Kuzbass State Technical University in the electronic environment on the Moodle platform. The authors propose a way of organizing students’ independent work in the electronic environment, which is based on the principles of blended learning, vocational guidance, communication, transparency and mobility. The paper describes the technology of designing and the structure of the electronic course on a foreign language, which, in the authors’ opinion, allows organizing students’ independent work effectively.
The article tackles the problem of introducing e-learning technologies in the educational process of correspondence students of T. F. Gorbachev Kuzbass State Technical University. The authors describe an attempt of creation and approbation of an electronic course for correspondence students’ autonomous work on the discipline “Foreign Language” in the e-learning system of a technical higher education establishment. The paper considers the stages and means to organize correspondence students’ autonomous work on foreign language in the Moodle environment since electronic environment is the basic form of material presentation for correspondence students and allows organizing continuous flexible autonomous learning of correspondence students and raising their motivation.
The article describes an attempt of creating an electronic course for the independent work of students on a foreign language. The effectiveness of students’ work on the course is connected directly with evaluation activities. The authors propose a classification of evaluation activities in electronic environment, which allows for the most effective achievement of learning outcomes. A typology of assignments and evaluation activities embedded in all the aspects of the course is presented so that students can monitor their academic performance and understand how and for what kinds of assignments they receive evaluation.
