Purpose This paper aims to provide a primary contribution to the halal tourism industry by presenting a crisis and disaster management framework based on Islamic teachings. Design/methodology/approach To develop the framework, a systematic review was conducted using the grounded theory step as an analytical framework through tracing papers from 2000 to 2020. The first step was to carry out an open coding by collecting extracted concepts and categories. Furthermore, axial coding was carried out to connect among the categories. Selective coding was conducted to all identified categories, and they were then integrated to develop a framework. The results obtained are three selected coding, eight axial coding and 55 open coding. Findings The result indicates that Islam teaches much principles, behavioral responses and psychological responses to crises and disasters. However, it is not neatly arranged in a modern crisis and disaster management concept. In addition, the advantage for halal tourism is that Muslims make Islamic teachings the foundation of social and community resilience in the face of disasters. Research limitations/implications The research findings also provide the knowledge to the tourism planners and academicians in overcoming the crises and disasters. Originality/value This paper provides a crisis and disaster management framework with additional decision-making concepts using a maqasid matrix.
The purpose of this research is to find out and explain the meaning contained in the hadith about khitbah. This research is a library research consisting of the books of hadith, verses of the Qur'an and supporting data as well as information needed to interpret the data by referring to the explanations of the scholars in the books of hadith, tafseer and so forth. Analysis of the hadith about khitbah is divided into 3 parts: the essence of khitbah, the rules related to khitbah and wisdom (hikmah) from khitbah. This research is expected to contribute ideas or can add information and enrich the treasures of Islamic intellectuals, provide an understanding of the hadith in particular the community about khitbah so that it knows the limits before and after khitbah and this research is useful as a guide in understanding and practice (sunnah) of Rasulullah saw.
This article verifies that hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW. do not limit someone’s wealth amount (results) from a business activity, but limit how method (process) to acquire (result) of a business activity. It indicates that in business activity, hadis of Prophet Muhammad SAW. put more emphasis in importance of process (business ethics) compared to result, in order that there is none who would do evil deed or there is none who would suffers evil deed. This article shows that process of a business activity shall be based on business ethics. Business ethics are gathered from guideline from the Prophet Muhammad SAW. emphasized on two important things; firstly, conducting business activity with reasonable business behavior, secondly, avoiding disgraced business behavior. The business ethics have been practiced by Prophet Muhammad SAW. in conducting business activities before his appointment as Prophet. The main source of this study is texts (the Prophet’s utterance) that contained in (hadis books) Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Beside of that, in order to make more deeper comprehension on those texts, supporting sources are used such as syarah al-hadith book and fiqh books. In order to read those texts are taken thematically (maudu’iy) and also to be enriched by theories and methodologies from other disciplines such as history.

Halal Tourism is one of the cultural-based tourist forms that Putting Islamic values and norms first. The potential for Halal Tourism development in Indonesia is enormous but needs to be upgraded in terms of the developer concept by applying lokal cultural values. One tourist destination in South Sulawesi is 'Taman prasejarah Leang-Leang' in Maros regency that has become a promising region To be developed as a Halal Tourism area by promoting lokal Sipakainge’ and Sipakalebbi’ concepts of wisdom. This study is a qualitative descriptive study using primary and secondary data sources through observation and documentation carried out by researchers. Research results are obtained if Sipakainge’ and Sipakalebbi’ can apply as Tourism clean development concepts by upholding the value of humanizing one another, reminding and respecting one another in the process. Additionally, the development can also be achieved by increasing the tools and infrastructure that makeup residence and characteristics of Halal Tourism.
