The purpose of this research were to describe: (1) the implementation of farmers group's activities in increasing the production of beef cattle, (2) the success of farmers group's activities in increasing the production of beef cattle and, (3) the success of the farmers group's role in empowering the farmers. The method of this research was a descriptive with qualitative model. The subject was officers of Satwa Mulya and citizen of Brajan Village. The research data were collected by using the method of participation and observation, interview, and documentation. The researcher wasthe main instrument which assisted with guidelines for observation, interview, and documentation.Method in this research were used data display, data reduction, and conclusion drawing.The results showed that: (1) The existence of farmers groups can increase the farmers knowledge in managing the beef cattle business started from seed selection, feeding, maintenance and marketing. In addition, also be increased the motivation and solidarity of farmers within the group. (2) While the implementation of farmers group's activities in increasing the beef cattle production is good enough which includes: awarding the concentrates weighing livestock from government, artificial insemination, supplementation and pregnancy checking. (3) Furthermore the success of the farmers group's role in communitiesproductivity can be seen from the increasing prosperity of farmers in Brajan village.So, it can be concluded that existence of farmers group's can increase the knowlegde of farmers especially about beef cattle production, their motivation and unity or farmers in its group.
The Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture legislates Barru Regency in South Sulawesi as a Bali cattle breeding. The purpose of this study calculates the feasibility of the Bali cattle breeding business. The research conducted in Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi. The number of respondents is 75 farmers determined by purposive sampling. This study used survey methods and data collected by observation and interviews using a questionnaire. Primary data such as the characteristics of respondents, component and price of inputs and outputs. The feasibility analysis of the Bali cattle breeding business used the Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PP). The results show the Bali cattle breeding business with average ownership of 3 cows and a five-years investment period is workable with an NPV value of IDR 9,099,674, BCR of 1.22, IRR of 16.85% and PP for 4.40 years.
Research was conducted at Nusa Pelangi Dairy Agrotour- ism, Gubugklakah Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency, starting from September 20th to October 31st, 2017. The purpose of this research were to identify profile, tourist characteristics, and tourist perception of Nusa Pelangi Dairy Agrotourism. Respondents were tourists who visited Nusa Pelangi Dairy Agrotourism with the age was more than 12 years old. The research used survey methode and analyzed by statistic descriptive and explorative descriptive. Data analysis showed that perception index of convenience and impression variable was 75,92 (high), perception index of sociability vari- able was 80,90 (high), perception index of use of facilities vari- able was 76,00 (high), perception index of access and linkage variable was 78,53 (high). It can be concluded that Nusa Pelan- gi Dairy Agroturism was a tourist attraction that located in Gubugklakah Tourist Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency with temperature was 20 to 22oC, so it was suitable for dairy agrotourism development. The tourist caracteristics at Nusa Pelangi Dairy Agrotourism age ranging from 12th-21st years old, generally as student, and lived in Malang Regency. Overall tourist had good perception towards Nusa Pelangi Dairy Agroturism.
The lazy economy era can support agro-educational tourism for dairy to engage millennial consumers through dairy products. Agro tourism has become an alternative to developing a dairy business. The tourism sector has become a market trend in the leisure economy strategy as a stimulator for economic development in rural areas. Brand has become a major concern for millennial consumers, and it can influence consumer psychology regarding purchasing decisions for agricultural products. It was changed when a pandemic caused a mega shift due to the changing purchasing power of society, especially the assessment of brands. Producers have been unable to rebrand because it has been difficult to understand the characteristics of millennial consumers who are disloyal and the changes in purchasing power during the leisure economics era, so this research aims to synthesize brand equity in the millennial era through meta-analysis with 7 studies published from 2015-2020 (era business-defined IT in 2015). This analysis helped researchers build many kinds of information from several pieces of research that were in line with brand behaviour. It would be a contribution for producers to review consumer behaviour when facing uncertainty. Based on the synthesis results from 7 studies, it is clear that Indonesian millenial consumers have the same perspective on determining purchasing decisions through brand equity. Producers should adapt to adjusting consumer needs based o n social experience as the main element in the mega-shifting phase to obtain market segmentation in accordance with new market trends in order to engage millennial consumers during the sudden shift in economics.Producers should ma ke a brand strategy in this challenging time through empathy, authenticity, and credibility approaches to local products of agrotourism as a developing dairy business..
ABSTRAK:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk pemberdayaan kelompok ternak kelinci "Mandiri Jaya" melalui Program Pelatihan Pertanian dan Perdesaan Swadaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode survei. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan bentuk Purposive sampling lalu diteruskan menggunakan Snowball sampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu bentuk pemberdayaan kelompok ternak kelinci yang diberikan meliputi budidaya kelinci, bina manusia, bina lingkungan dan bina usaha. Bentuk-bentuk pelatihan tersebut diberikan setiap 1 bulan sekali selama 1 tahun (1 periode). Materi budidaya kelinci dimana anggota kelompok diajarkan manajemen kelinci yang baik dan menguntungkan mulai dari pemilihan bibit yang baik, pemberian pakan yang baik serta berkualitas dan sistem perkandangan yang baik untuk kelinci. Materi pembinaan peternak dimaksudkan agar anggota kelompok dapat mengembangkan ide-ide yang ada, bertukar pikiran atau informasi terhadap sesama anggota kelompok ternak serta peranan besar seorang peternak khusunya sebagai peternak kelinci. Materi bina lingkungan diajarkan bagaimana menciptakan lingkungan yang aman dan bersih khususnya berada pada area yang berdekatan dengan kandang ternak. Materi bina usaha dimana anggota kelompok diajarkan bagaimana cara berwirausaha salah satunya lewat hasil olahan ternak kelinci. Saran dari penelitian ini alangkah baiknya diberikan tambahan bentuk pemberdayaan yang lainnya agar anggota kelompok menjadi lebih berkembang lagi.Kata kunci: pemberdayaan, kelompok ternak, program pelatihan. ABSTRACT:The purpose of this research was to learn the model of empowerment to a rabbit farmer group which is named "Mandiri Jaya" through Agriculture Training and Self Supporting of Rural Program. This research employs survey method. This qualitative research choosed its key informants by using purposive sampling that was followed by Snowball sampling. The result of this research is the model of empowerment that was given to the rabbit farmer group which includes training provided of rabbits, human development, community development, and business development. Various forms of the training are given once in month for annualy. The material training provided includes how to manage the rabbit farmer group, so becomes profitable. For examples how to choose proper and high-quality feed, and to build a good housing system for the rabbit. The material of human development is given so the rabbit farmer group can develop the ideas, exchange their ideas and information with other members. The material of community development is given so that the farmers that are involved know how to build a safe and clean environment especially near the rabbit housing area. The material of business development is given so that the member of the group know how to be a good entrepreneur.
