This study aims to describe the dynamics of entrepreneurial decision making and the development of entrepreneurial spirit in students who are self-employed. The researcher used phenomenology to understand the psychological dynamics in students who are self-employed. The results of the study are starting from the subject decision making of entrepreneurship is related to several factors, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors related to the desire to be independent to meet needs, want to help, like challenges and seek freedom. External factors related to family and other people. This research found that an entrepreneur must have a strong commitment and consistency towards his business. An entrepreneur should also have good interpersonal skills, this is important for building relationships. Even so, the entrepreneurial spirit in students still needs to be improved, especially on commitment, consistency, and decision making.
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of training meaning Surat Al-Insyirah in reducing students' stress that are doing thesis. Subjects in this study consisted of 15 subjects which 8 subjects into the experimental group and 7 subjects into the control group. Characteristic's subjects are: 1) Student in UIN Sunan Kalijaga especially majoring of scientis and technology, 2) Engaged in a thesis, 3) Willing to be a subject of study. This study considered true experimental research. The test results using statistical analysis techniques Mann Whitney Test showed that the Mann Whitney U as post-test at p = 0.049 (p <0.05, significant), so that suggests there were differences in post-test scores between the experimental group and the control group. The results of statistical tests wicoxon signed Ranks to compare the post-test and pre-test between the experimental and control groups revealed the value p = 0.025 (p <0.05, significant), so that it could be argued that there was a difference in scores of pre-test and post-test in the experimental group. While the results of the test statistic with Wilcoxon Signed Ranks to compare the post-test and pre-test in the control group revealed the value of p = 0.611 (p> 0.05, not significant), so that it could be argued that there was no difference between the pre-test and post-test in the control group.
This article reports development of new scale to measure entrepreneurial characters. Entrepreneurial Characters Scale (SK-WIRA) measures personality traits indicating a person’s capacity to engage in entrepreneurial activity and can be used to study tendency and suitability to work as entrepreneur. In preliminary study, entrepreneurial character is operationalized based on concepts found in literatures: achievement motivation, innovativeness, risk taking, and autonomy. Four SK-WIRA subscales were constructed according to those dimensions. In phase 1 item selection, exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis were applied. Initial set of SK-WIRA constituted of 40-48 items per subscale was administered to university students (N = 130). It is found that items were not clustered based on the theory, but item types (favorable-unfavorable). Therefore, it is predicted that entrepreneurial characters and non-entrepreneurial characters are probably two different constructs and need to be measured using different tools. Final compilation of SK-WIRA consists only 22 items (all is favorable items) with good internal consistency (Cronbach’s α = .863). Phase 2 construct validity test using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) confirms that SK-WIRA consists of four correlated factors. The examination of scale internal structure shows good model fit (c2/df = 244.077/205; RMSEA = .038; CFI = .943; TLI = .936; SRMR = .069).
Mahasiswa tingkat akhir perlu memiliki kematangan karier yang baik karena sudah berada pada masa akhir preoccupational. Hasil survei pendahuluan menunjukkan adanya dinamika kematangan karier di kalangan mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Kematangan karier yang baik sangat penting karena menunjukkan kemampuan mahasiswa untuk melewati hambatan-hambatan yang terjadi dalam setiap tahap perkembangan kariernya. Harga diri dan lokus kontrol internal merupakan beberapa faktor yang diyakini mempengaruhi kematangan karier. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara harga diri dan lokus kontrol internal terhadap kematangan karier. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel N = 279 mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan regresi linear berganda menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif dari harga diri dan lokus kontrol internal terhadap kematangan karier dengan nilai kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 72.5%. Harga diri berpengaruh terhadap kematangan karier melalui perilaku dan sikap positif terhadap tujuan karier. Adapun lokus kontrol internal mempengaruhi kematangan karier melalui rasa percaya individu terhadap pengetahuan dan kemampuannya dalam melewati hambatan yang dialami terkait dengan tugas perkembangan kariernya.
Pernikahan dini merupakan pernikahan yang dilakukan pada remaja yang belum memenuhi kriteria umur pernikahan yaitu 19 tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna pernikahan dini pada remaja di Magelang. Peneltian ini menggunakan penelitian Deskriptif kualitatif. Kriteria partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu melakukan pernikahan di bawah umur, menjalani pernikahan yang terjadi minimal satu tahun perkawinan, bertempat tinggal di Desa Ketundan Kecamatan Pakis Kabupaten Magelang. Informan penelitian ini meliputi dua orang yaitu wanita dengan pernikahan dini yang disebabkan karena keinginan individu dan seorang laki-laki yang menikah disebabkan karna hamil diluar nikah, subjek penelitian .Hasil penelitian ini adalah pemaknaan pernikahan bergantung pada sikap dan perilaku pasangan dalam membangun rumah tangga yang sesuai dengan visi dan misi pernikahan. Komitmen yang kuat dalam sebuah pernikahan juga mempengaruh pemaknaan pernikahan pada remaja.
