The number of used tires in the world is projected to increase in the future due to an incrementing number of cars and motorcycles particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia. This situation can endanger the environment and public health since it poses a high risk for fires. Despite the environmental impacts, used tires present economic values. This can be achieved by processing it into several forms such as tire-derived fuel, asphalt rubber, and rubber-plastic products. Furthermore, to collect used tires from tire users and send it into used tires recycler, management scheme is required. This paper aims to review the development of used tires recycle management and processing. It has been found that several management schemes for recycling used tires have been identified from literature including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Free Market, and Government. Moreover, several processes to recycle used tires were identified, such as: retreading, energy recovery, product recycling, material recycling, and pyrolysis.
In the treatment of tuberculosis (TB), the patient is generally directly given Anti Tuberculosis Drugs (Obat Anti Tuberculosis/OAT) without examining Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (SGPT) and Serum Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase (SGOT) to see whether or not there is liver damage before treatment. Because of the side effects by OAT, it is important to know how the condition of the liver function of TB patients who consume OAT in Kendari City General Hospital (Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah/RSUD) Kota Kendari by looking at SGOT and SGPT levels in order to provide maximum treatment to TB patients. The method of this research was descriptive analysis with cross sectional approach. The sample is all patients had previously been diagnosed with TB by a doctor based on medical records by in RSUD Kota Kendari after 1-2 months OAT treatment without any sign of liver injury before. Examination of SGOT and SGPT levels was performed on all samples in the Laboratory of RSUD Kota Kendari using clinical chemistry analyzer. The results of this study showed that 20% patients with TB had elevated levels of SGPT and SGOT with average SGOT is 51 U/L and SGPT is 42.5. The Inference of this study that there is an increase in SGOT and SGPT levels in patients who consume OAT 1-2 months in RSUD Kota Kendari. Elevated levels of SGPT and SGOT due to Anti Tuberculosis (OAT) drugs did not occur in all patients and only increased in 3 people, but qualitatively the effect of administering anti-tuberculosis drugs significantly increased levels of SGPT and SGPT. Thus, monitoring of liver physiology remains recommended especially for elderly patients.
Introduction: One of the causes of health problems is the use of drugs irrationally, which can result in therapy becoming less effective and inefficient. According to World Health Organization (WHO), more than 50% of the world’s drugs are prescribed and used improperly. People still lack information about drugs, how to use drugs and how to get drugs. My Medicine is a drug data information system, how to use drugs, and map locations of pharmacies that sell drugs. This study aims to evaluate the user perception of the use of my medicine. Materials and methods: The method in this study was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. One hundred twenty respondents were included in this study involving communities in Pekalongan district by using univariate analysis. Results: The result was 82% of the respondents explained that the performance or interface user of the My Medicine App was very good and the language was easy to understand, 82% of the respondents said that the information on the My Medicine App is needed daily, 84% of the respondents said that My Medicine App easy to access from the mobile phone, 80% of the respondents explained the data provided in the My Medicine App was accurate and as what they are expected. Conclusion: The conclusion is My Medicine App has a very good performance, the language is easy to understand, the information is needed daily, the app is easy to access through a mobile phone. The data presented in the My Medicine Application is accurate, and by user expectations.
