Background: Given the number of patients failing to achieve control of Diabetes Mellitus (DM), it causes an increase in the incidence of DM complications. Along with the rapid development of technology in this era, this study aimed to prove the effectiveness of technologybased health management compared to usual treatment for levels glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Subjects and Method: This was a meta-analysis using a randomized controlled trial. Articles were obtained from PubMed, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate databases. The articles used in this study were those published from 2012-2021. The search article was carried out by considering the eligibility of the criteria determined using the PICO model. Population: type 2 DM patients (HbA1c>7%), Intervention: health management-assisted technology, Comparison: usual care Outcome: HbA1c levels. There were 10 articles used with a sample size of 1693 people who were divided into two groups (845 people in the health managementassisted technology group and 848 people in the group usual care). Articles were analyzed using Review Manager 5.3 Application to determine the Standard Mean Difference (SMD) and heterogeneity of the study sample. Results: From 10 articles that were processed using RevMan 5.3, significant results were obtained, this is indicated by the overall effect (diamond) which does not touch the vertical line H0 (d= 0) and can also be seen from the 95% CI range of -0.62 to -0.13 which shows significant because it does not pass the number 0 (SMD= -0.37; 95% CI= -0.62 to -0.13; p= 0.003). The heterogeneity of the research data shows I 2 = 82% so that the distribution of the data is very heterogeneous (random effects model). Conclusion:Using technology to help health management of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus can reduce HbA1c levels compared to usual care.

Background: Corticosteroids constitute a group of anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive drugs that are widely used in the treatment of COVID-19. However, corticosteroid use has been the subject of debate. The available evidence the effect of corticosteroid on the mortality in COVID-19 patients is uncertain, and knowledge on the subject is evolving. A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to investigate the impact of corticosteroid therapy on the mortality of COVID-19 patients. Subjects and Method: A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted by collecting articles from PubMed, Google Scholar, and Science Direct databases. The inclusion criteria were English full text and cohort study. The articles were filtered using PICO model, including: (1) Population= confirmed COVID-19 patients, (2) inter-vention= corticosteroid therapy, (3) comparison= non corticosteroid therapy, and (4) outcome= mortality. The inclusion criteria were English full text and reported adjusted hazard ratio. Quantitative data analysis was processed using Review Manager 5.3. Results: A meta-analysis involved 7 studies showed that corticosteroid intake reduced the risk of death in COVID-19 patients (aHR= 0.62; 95% CI= 0.52 to 0.75; p<0.001). Conclusion: Corticosteroid intake reduces the risk of death in COVID-19 patients.
The release of health information to third parties must use a power of attorney. The release of health information without using a power of attorney can have a negative impact. Power of attorney is needed so that there is no deviation in the provision of claims submitted by health service providers to the insurance company. The purpose of the study was to determine the suitability of information release activities from activity planning, strategies used in achieving goals, process of information release activities and success of health information release activities. This study uses the CIPP evaluation method, namely evaluating information release activities from the context, input, process and product aspects. Data was collected by observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that there is a discrepancy between the release of information activities with the regulation of the minister of health. Inconsistency in the purpose of releasing information which is only for insurance, in its activities it was found that there was no power of attorney in requesting health information 44%, there was no clear name of the doctor 12.5% and there was no information on filling time of 36.5%. The decision obtained from the evaluation results is to modify the goals, objectives and strategies to achieve the goals. The final decision was to continue the information release activity by revising the SOP. The solution obtained from the discussion is the SOP for the release of health information that can be used for third parties in general. Revised SOP for releasing existing information with additional points regarding power of attorney and completeness of filling out.
