Abstract-Globalization shows many changes in various aspects of human life. Positive and negative attitudes as a global impact can be seen from the attitude of people's behavior. Technology illiterate becomes a severe constraint that gives rise to other effects. Moral degradation, ethical erosion and decadence of behavior become a daily phenomenon. Many positive activities can actually be implemented by the community but are neglected, because their understanding of how the use of global products can not be said to be good. Reading activities for example, have decreased so much, because the tendency of society, especially children today, tend to like the game rather than reading. This paper will talk about the implementation of the School Literacy Movement as part of a government program to increase students' reading interest through the reading habit of ten minutes each day. The literature study is a method used to describe the importance of school literacy movements in order to increase reading interest through habituation that must be continuously carried out every day in the classroom before learning begins. Reading habit is expected to take shape gradually.
This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the application of problem-based learning models based on scientific literacy in class IV. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The class action research was carried out in 3 cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. This research consisted of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, evaluation and reflection. The subjects of this study were the IVB grade students of SDN 1 Tinggarjaya, amounting to 11 male students and 15 female students. Data collection tools use critical thinking skills tests, teacher activity sheets and student activity sheets. The results of the critical thinking skills test are based on five indicators of students' critical thinking skills that are carried out at each end of the meeting. The results of this class action research show that learning using the problem-based learning model based on scientific literacy can improve students' critical thinking skills on the theme of 7 Beautiful Diversity in My Country in class IVB SDN 1 Tinggarjaya. Students experience an increase in each cycle, namely, in cycle 1 an average score of 1.95 is obtained with unfavourable criteria, cycle 2 obtains an average score of 2.57 with unfavourable criteria and cycle 3 obtains an average score of 3.04 with good criteria.
The struggle of the Indonesian people to achieve independence from the colonialists is as old as colonialism itself. The struggle for independence had at least begun since the establishment of the late 19th century as a chain of struggle for the people in various regions in the archipelago. The struggle of the people of East Lombok in opposing colonialism is a historical record that complements the history of the national struggle of the Indonesian nation and does not have any meaning for the national struggle of the nation. This struggle is also a very strong bond to reach the culmination point of the struggle, namely the Proclamation of Independence on August 17, 1945, as well as efforts to defend Indonesia's independence until 1950. This study has a fundamental contribution in understanding historical information related to nationalism and the spirit of struggle for warriors in East Lombok. History, in this case the revolution in East Lombok in 1945-1949, has a dedactic value for the current and future generations of the nation. The educational value that can be learned from these historical events is at least that the nation's generation has mental strength both biologically and psychologically in facing all the challenges of life and has a high sense of nationalism as part of Indonesian society that must uphold the name of the Indonesian nation.
The content of multicultural education in curricula in Elementary School or Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is an integral part of strengthening character education, one of which is religious attitudes which are part of the superiority of religiously labeled Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. One of the excellent programs offered is facilitating graduates to read and memorize short letters in juz 30 Al Quran. This paper will talk about the implementation of the Al Quran Literacy Movement as a flagship program in a private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The located in Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency in increasing students' reading interest through a fifteen minute reading habit every day before the loesson begins. Literature study is a method used to describe the importance of the Al-Quran Literacy Movement to improve religious attitudes and establish habituation to students who must to do continue it every day in class before learning begins. This habit is expected to form gradually and in the future can be entrenched.
