Delivery system in fast dissolving oral film is the system in which drug can be released immediately without drinking water and can be dissolved in saliva, then absorbed into the body through the oral cavity. Glimepiride is classified in the Biopharmaceutics Classification System class II which has a low solubility in water. Formation of glimepiride inclusion complexes using betacyclodextrin is known to increase solubility while suppressing the bitter taste of glimepiride. The purpose of this study was to develop FDOF preparations containing glimepiridebetacyclodextrin (1:2) inclusion complexes made by co-grinding technique. The development of the FDOF formula begins with the orientation of the formula which varies the concentration of crospovidone as superdisintegrant and PEG 400 as plasticizer. The FDOF were made from two formulas, with one formula containing glimepiride-betacyclodextrin (1:2) inclusion complexes and the other formula containing pure glimepiride as the active ingredient, using the solvent casting method with HPMC E5 LV as the film forming agent. The final evaluations of FDOF include organoleptic, weight variation, film thickness, surface pH, disintegration time, drug content, dissolution rate, percent elongation, tensile strength and folding endurance tests. The best FDOF formula from optimization process contain HPMC E5 LV 35% as film forming agent, PEG 400 15% as plasticizer and 8% crospovidone as superdisintegrant. From the results of final preparation evaluation, FDOF containing glimepiride-betacyclodextrin (1:2) inclusion complexes proved to be better than FDOF containing pure glimepiride.
Nanas (Ananas comosus L.) subang memiliki potensi untuk dibuat menjadi pangan fungsional sari nanas yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan. Untuk menghasilkan produk yang tahan lama dan memiliki aktivitas antioksidan, maka sari nanas dibuat dengan melewati empat faktor perlakuan yaitu pemilihan bahan, penambahan gula, blansing, dan pemasakan dengan masing–masing terdiri dari dua variabel yaitu positif dan negatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh empat faktor perlakuan tersebut terhadap aktivitas antioksidan dari sari nanas. Pembuatan sari nanas didesain melalui pendekatan half design experiment. Uji aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode peredaman radikal bebas 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh sampel yang disimpan pada suhu kamar mengalami fermentasi kurang dari 7 hari pengujian, sedangkan seluruh sampel yang disimpan pada suhu dingin lebih tahan lama sehingga dilanjutkan pada pengujian selanjutnya. Diagram pareto menunjukkan pemilihan bahan, konsentrasi gula, dan durasi waktu blansing secara nyata memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan aktivitas antioksidan dari sari nanas. Namun demikian, durasi waktu pemasakan masih perlu dianalisis lebih lanjut.
The main problems found in the Malaya Farmer Group in Pasirjambu District which are partners, are problems related to honey bee harvesting techniques and the diversification of honey products. Some of the methods applied to achieve the target are coordination with domestic and foreign partners through outreach, discussions, identification of problem solutions, selection of alternative solutions to problems, and formulation of implementation stages. Then the implementation of training on honey bee harvesting techniques, the practice of making diversified honey products, and marketing the results of diversified honey products. The achievement of this community service has obtained data in the form of honey product diversification including Honey Combination Soap, Honey Ginger Candy, and Honey Milk Coffee Drinks with the MAZALI brand. In addition, through this community service, training on honey bee harvesting techniques was successfully carried out with the title Trigona Honey Bee Cultivation Training with the theme of Harvesting Techniques, Quality Assessment, and Diversification of Trigona Honey Products. It is hoped that this community service can provide benefits for the development of science, especially in order to help improve skills in honey bee harvesting techniques and develop various diversifications of honey products so that they can become superior in Pasirjambu District.
Ibuprofen merupakan turunan asam propionat bersifat analgetik yang mempunyai daya antiinflamasi dan termasuk ke dalam Biopharmaceutic Classification Systems (BCS) kelas II yang mempunyai kelarutan praktis tidak larut dalam air dimana laju pelepasan ibuprofen menjadi penentu absorbsi obat. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kelarutan ibuprofen yaitu dengan pembentukan kompleks inklusi menggunakan β-siklodekstrin. β-siklodekstrin merupakan turunan siklodekstrin yang paling ekonomis dan non toksik saat diberikan secara oral serta ukuran rongganya sesuai untuk banyak obat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh konsentrasi β-siklodekstrin terhadap kelarutan ibuprofen serta menentukan parameter termodinamika meliputi entalpi (ΔH), energi bebas (ΔG) dan entropi (ΔS) berdasarkan harga tetapan stabilitas kompleks pada proses pembentukan kompleks inklusi ibuprofen-βsiklodekstrin. Pembentukan kompleks inklusi antara ibuprofen dengan β-siklodekstrin dilakukan pada 2 kondisi pH yaitu dapar sitrat pH 5,2 dan dapar fosfat pH 7,2 serta 3 kondisi suhu yaitu 32°C, 37°C dan 42°C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi konsentrasi β-siklodekstrin maka semakin meningkat kemampuan ibuprofen untuk melarut, serta ibuprofen dapat berinteraksi dengan β-siklodekstrin membentuk kompleks inklusi. Parameter termodinamika pada interaksi yang terjadi di kondisi pH 5,2 dan 7,2 berlangsung secara eksotermik (ΔH<0), proses terjadi secara spontan (ΔG negatif) dan terjadi penurunan ketidakteraturan sistem (ΔS negatif) yang cenderung lebih tinggi pada kondisi pH 5,2.
