A Sustainable Competitive Advantage emerges as an important factor in the perception of value of goods and services, which should be considered as elements of competitive differentiation. This study aims at identifying the relationship between sustainable competitive advantage and organizational performance, as well as measuring the relationship of environmental sustainability and social responsibility as attributes of sustainable competitive advantage. In order to achieve that, a survey was carried out in 1496 different size companies and activity sectors in Brazil. For the data analysis and interpretation we used a structural equation modeling technique. The results indicate that the Sustainable Competitive Advantage construct is an important antecedent of organizational performance because it highlights fundamental attributes for organizations to achieve positive economic consequences. This research contributes to organizational management and to the scientific community with the provision of a framework that assists in the identification of relevant strategic resource features.
Este estudo tem como objetivo compreender a intenção empreendedora de indivíduos vinculados a incubadoras de empresas à luz da teoria do comportamento planejado e observar a influência do contexto econômico, da orientação individual empreendedora e das ações da incubadora sobre a atitude de empreender. O trabalho possui uma abordagem descritiva quantitativa, tendo os dados coletados a partir de um questionário estruturado empregando a escala Likert de 7 pontos. Na análise de dados, foi utilizado o modelo de equações estruturais para testar as hipóteses, aplicando o software SmartPLS. As implicações práticas apontam evidências concretas de relacionamento entre os constructos para explicar a intenção e a ação de empreender de indivíduos vinculados em incubadoras de empresas. Diante disto, os resultados estatísticos comprovaram que o modelo conceitual proposto se mostrou adequado.
This article aims to check the correlation between organizational culture, organizational support, and positive psychological capital in employees from public and private organization and comprises a survey with 206 workers in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, who answered a questionnaire containing the scale of organizational support, positive psychological capital at work, organizational culture, and social-demographic data. The scales presented reliable psychometric indexes besides an interdependency correlation among the constructs. ANOVA highlights that the interaction among the constructs was meaningful: organizational culture influences the high organizational support and the high positive psychological capital. Based on these results, the empirical hypothesis has been confirmed. Therefore, the study could be useful for managers who understand the organization-employee correlation as a factor of qualitative importance in healthy labor dynamics.
