Spiritual growth to be a blessing and influence and impact on others cannot be separated from the challenges of life. And it is part of the believer's role to be able to color and make himself a useful person. Yet the church and the believers experienced divisions that created conflict and contention so that the church could not speak or give anything to a divided, corrupted world. With the background of the problem, the author uses a library research method with a descriptive quantitative approach. So the author concludes that the role of believers as the salt of the world in Matthew 5:13, in the midst of an era of disruption, is the first Christianity that does not become tasteless. Second, Christianity must function like salt and third, Christianity must glorify God in its life. By applying to all believers, the role of Christians as the salt of the earth has an impact.Key words: Salt Of The World, Believers, The Role Of Christianity AbstrakPertumbuhan rohani untuk menjadi berkat dan pengaruh serta berdampak bagi sesama tidak lepas dari tantangan kehidupan. Dan hal itu sebagai bagian peran orang percaya untuk dapat mewarnai dan menjadikan dirinya sebagai orang yang berguna. Namun gereja dan orang percaya mengalami perpecahan yang menimbulkan konflik dan pertengkaran sehingga gereja tidak bisa berbicara atau memberikan apa-apa kepada dunia yang terpecah, rusak. Dengan latar belakang permasalahan, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian pustaka dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Maka penulis dengan mendapatkan kesimpulan bahwa peran orang percaya sebagai garam dunia dalam Matius 5: 13, ditengah era disrupsi adalah pertama kekristenan yang tidak menjadi tawar. Kedua Kekristenan harus berfungsi seperti garam dan yang ketiga, Kekristenan harus memuliakan Tuhan dalam hidupnya. Dengan mengaplikasikan bagi semua orang percaya peran orang kristen sebagai garam dunia yang berdampak.Kata kunci: Garam Dunia, Orang Percaya, Peran Kekristenan
Metakognisi merupakan salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan seseorang dalam memecahkan masalah. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses metakognisi mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam menyelesaikan soal Piramida Hitung (Pitung) yang merupakan permasalahan non rutin terkait operasi bilangan bulat. Subyek penelitian adalah tiga mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana Salatiga angkatan 2019. Kriteria pemilihan subyek yaitu: mahasiswa yang berhasil memecahkan tiga tantangan dalam Pitung (tepat dua operasi hitung, tepat tiga operasi hitung, dan tepat empat operasi hitung), komunikatif, dan bersedia menjadi subyek. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis, think aloud, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses metacognitive awareness (menyadari pengetahuan dan pengalaman terdahulu, menyadari pola strategi yang dibuat, dan menggunakan informasi pada soal untuk penyelesaian masalah), metacognitive regulation (membuat perencanaan, merevisi langkah penyelesaian, memikirkan dan menemukan jawaban lain), dan metacognitive evaluation (menilai kapasitas berpikir, menilai hasil pekerjaan, dan menilai pemahaman diri sendiri) terjadi saat proses pemecahan masalah dengan bentuk beragam untuk setiap subjeknya. Selain itu, metakognisi juga membantu subyek dalam membuat strategi penyelesaian menjadi lebih efektif. The process of metacognition of prospective mathematics teachers in solving number pyramid problemsAbstractMetacognition was one of the determining factors for a person’s success in problem-solving. This qualitative research aimed to describe prospective teachers’ metacognition process in solving the Number Pyramid or Piramida Hitung (Pitung) problem, non-routine problems related to integer operations. The subjects were three mathematics education students of Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana Salatiga, Indonesia. The criteria for selecting subjects, namely: students were succeeded in solving three challenges in the Pitung (exactly two-number operations, three-number operations, and four-number operations), communicative, and willing to be the subject. Data were collected using the written test, think aloud, and interviews. The results showed that process of metacognitive awareness (be aware of previous knowledge and experience, be aware of the pattern of strategies created, and use the information in problems for problem-solving); metacognitive regulation (made plans, revised completion steps, think about, and found others answers); and metacognitive evaluation (assessed thinking capacity, assessed work results, and assessed self-understanding) occurred during the problem-solving process in various forms for each subject. Also, metacognitive helped the subjects in making the completion strategy more effective.
A Christian educator not only equips students to have good cognitive skills but also has good character and ethics and moral values. That is the aim of the research in this article. Because the number of delinquency and problems in students is an important indicator of the teacher's role in leadership so that they can seek to increase the spirituality of students. In this research, the writer applies descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach and a hermeneutical approach, namely examining texts related to the leadership of Christian educators so that a conclusion can be drawn that a Christian educator in his leadership task must be based on God's word. Able to be a role model for students both through speech, behavior, love, loyalty, chastity. So that students are able to become individuals who have the character of Christ and are able to live the values and norms that apply in the community. So that his life can be a blessing to those around him. Abstrak: Seorang pendidik Kristen bukan hanya memperlengkapi nara didik memiliki kognitif yang baik akan tetapi juga memiliki karakter serta etika dan nilai moral yang baik. Hal itu menjadi tujuan dalam penelitian artikel ini. Sebab banyaknya kenakalan dan persoalan pada nara didik menjadi indikator penting peran guru dalam kepemimpinan supaya dapat mengupayakan peningkatan kerohanian nara didik. Dalam penelitain ini penulis menerapkan metode kualitatif deskritif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka dan pendekatan hermeneutik, yaitu meneliti teks-teks yang berkaitan dengan kepemimpinan pendidik Kristen sehingga dapat ditarik sebuah kesimpulkan bahwa seorang pendidik Kristen dalam tugas kepemimpinannya harus berlandaskan pada firman Tuhan. Mampu menjadi sosok teladan bagi nara didik baik melalui ucapan, tingkah laku, Kasih, Kesetiaan, Kesucian. Sehingga nara didik mampu menjadi pribadi yang mempunyai karakter Kristus serta mampu menghidupi nilai-nilai serta norma yang berlaku dalam lingkungan masyarakat. Sehingga hidupnya dapat menjadi berkat bagi orang-orang di sekitanya.
The implementation of Best Practice in Christian Religious Education in Sunday School is a success that is able to create students who have Christian values in their lives. This needs to be continuously pursued, considering that the purpose of Sunday School learning is to equip Sunday School children with sources of faith, guiding children to achieve a complete personality and reflect the image of God, so that they are able to serve. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach, it is concluded that the church needs to pay attention to Sunday school services, namely by providing Sunday school education with best practices in order to prepare the next generation of the church. Sunday school is the embryo of education for the successor of the church. In carrying out Sunday school activities, it is best to fulfill several aspects of Sunday school activities. Several aspects of Sunday School activities, namely, Sunday School as a center for non-formal education, evangelism, an outreach tool, and a channel of blessings.
The life of a pagan prophet from Moab named Balaam is an exciting lesson about leadership to study. This prophet represents a materialistic lifestyle, disobedience to God, and disobedience of service in the name of God. His ministry was in a historical setting where Israel also experienced severe moral decadence as God's people. This article will reveal and analyze how Balaam's role as a reflection of contemporary leadership in the church is strongly influenced by the concepts of materialism, hedonic lifestyle, and highly pay-oriented leadership. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this study uses some works of literature as the main study. Through Balaam's life, contemporary church leaders could learn about the importance of integrity and genuine ministry motivation. The exemplary aspect is an essential factor that leaders must own. We also found that leaders need to serve with a servant spirit, as Jesus had shown. Only in this way can a leader have an honorable and consistent life in the values of the truth of God's word.
