This study aims to determine the profile of the motivation for learning science while studying at the homes of class VIII students of SMPN SATAP Taga Laga Buru in lesson 2020/2021. This type of research is descriptive research. The population in this research were all students of class VIII SMPN SATAP Taga Laga Buru, amounting to 36 students, and the sample of this study was 36 students who were obtained by saturated sampling technique. Furthermore, the data collection technique used non-test techniques, namely questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the development of the science learning motivation profile while studying at home of the VIII grade students of SMPN SATAP Taga Laga Buru experienced highly motivated (44.44%), motivated (47.23%), moderately motivated (8.33%) less motivated and unmotivated development. motivated (0%). This shows that the profile of motivation to learn Science is quite good. medium.
The dug well water quality in community settlements needs assessment to ensure its quality. The water has to meet the required physical, chemical, and bacteriological standards. This initial research aimed to determine the dug well water quality in Kampung Ujung, Komodo District, Labuan Bajo City, WestManggarai Regency in September 2019. The research method was used survey and laboratory. The two dug well was taken used a purposive sampling technique. The test parameters include temperature, turbidity, pH, smell, Total Suspended Solid (TSS), sulfate, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), nitrate, nitrite, Total Hardness, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), nitrogen ammonia, total coliforms, and Escherichia coli. The analysis physically, chemically, and biologically of two dug well water samples were had done examined. The result showed that the parameters of TDS, nitrate, nitrite, E. coli, and DO exceed the Class I Water Quality Standard. The research concluded that the quality of both dug well water in the Kampung Ujung Labuan Bajo area was not suitable for use as material raw drinking water. Furthermore, the government should provide other water sources such as the addition of storage tanks for raw water, so that people do not entirely depend on dug well water.
Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a learning concept helps teachers relate subject concepts to real-world situations and student engagement to find materials learned and connect in everyday life. This study aims to determine the influence of CTL to improve student learning outcomes on environmental pollution materials during pandemics. The research was conducted at Manokwari Advent Junior High School in April-May 2021. The sample of learning grade VII A (experimental class) number of learners as many as 22 people and grade VII B (control class) the number of learners 20 people. This research method was quasi-experimentation with a nonequivalent control group design, an instrument used in research in the form of cognitive tests in the form of multiple choice. Analysis of data mechanisms used in the study was a normality test, homogeneity testing, and followed by hypothesis testing using the SPSS IMB 20 mentoring program. After the test was obtained, the results of the learning class experimental have an average post-test of 86.25, while the value of the post-test control class is 45.25; then, it can be concluded that the CTL model can improve the learner learning outcomes
Independent study is necessary for students, particularly when they are studying online. Due to the minimal contact between lecturers and students in online learning, particularly in science, students must study independently. The significance of individual learning during the CoVD-09 epidemic provides the context for this study. This research intends to identify the profile of junior high school students' independence in scientific learning throughout the academic year 2021-2022. This research is descriptive. This study's population consisted of 116 pupils enrolled in the eighth grade of junior high school. The sample for this research consisted of 37 eighth-grade SMP students selected using a simple random selection procedure. Furthermore, the data gathering approach employed a non-test technique, namely a questionnaire. The analysis of data was conducted using descriptive statistics. The findings indicated that the general average of pupils' freedom in learning was classified as very independent (81%). In addition, 14 students are in the very independent category, which is equal to (40%), 12 students are in the independent category, which is equal to (34%), and seven students are in the fairly independent category, which is equal to (20%), four students are in the less independent category that is equal to (12.9%), and no one is categorized as very less independent than 37 students. This shows that most class VIII students are very independent in their learning.
As the leading tourism destination for premium class, Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) continues to improve. Starting from the infrastructure development that continues to accelerate to the issue of waste management. The main focus of the waste problem in Labuan Bajo, namely, beaches and road reclamation. Garbage is still being dumped carelessly by residents and business actors domiciled in the vicinity of tourist sites. This study the perceptions of the Impact of Waste Management on Tourism Sustainability in Labuan Bajo have been studied in terms of ecological aspects. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were collected through direct interviews with selected respondents and experts, as well as observations at the research location. Methods of data collection are carried out through interviews, discussions, questionnaires, and field surveys. Meanwhile, secondary data was collected from various sources including, data from the District and Provincial BPS, the Tourism Office, Bappeda, DLH Deperindag and, the Cooperative Office in West Manggarai Regency. The results of data analysis using ordination and leverage analysis prove that tourism development in this area still requires more intensive intervention in the ecological dimension. The sustainability status of tourism in terms of environmental management in Labuan Bajo is in reasonably sustainable condition.
