Stunting adalah kondisi gagal tumbuh pada anak balita akibat dari kekurangan gizi kronis sehingga anak lebih pendek untuk usianya. Kekurangan gizi terjadi sejak bayi dalam kandungan dan pada masa awal kehidupan setelah lahir, tetapi baru terlihat setelah anak berusia 2 tahun. Stunting berdampak pada tingkat kecerdasan, kerentanan terhadap penyakit dan menurunkan produktivitas serta berakibat menghambat pertumbuhan ekonomi dan meningkatkan kemiskinan serta kesenjangan di masa depan. Untuk itu diperlukan peningkatan kapasitas kader dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk pencegahan stunting. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan orientasi kepada kader dan memberikan penguatan SDM (Sumberdaya Manusia) Posyandu di Desa Lokus Stunting. Metode kegiatan dilakukan melalui edukasi kepada kader dalam rangka penguatan posyandu dalam upaya pencegahan stunting. Orientasi dilaksanakan selama satu hari di Kabupaten Labuhan Batu sebagai salah satu kabupaten lokus stunting dengan jumlah peserta 65 orang. Kegiatan diawali dengan perkenalan oleh tim. Kegiatan selanjutnya adalah edukasi dengan materi orientasi terdiri dari (1) upaya kesehatan di posyandu sebagai pencegahan stunting, (2) komunikasi antar pribadi dalam upaya kesehatan di posyandu pada adaptasi kebiasaan baru, (3) pelaksanaan upaya kesehatan di posyandu pada adaptasi kebiasaan baru, (4) pembuatan rencana tindak lanjut selesai kegiatan orientasi kader. Dari hasil kegiatan didapatkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta setelah dilakukan orientasi kader dan penguatan SDM posyandu (post-test) dibandingkan dengan sebelum dilakukan kegiatan (pre -test).
Nutrition Conselling is one of topic of Nutrition Education Subject in third semester undergraduate nutrition students at Faculty of Public Health Univerisity of Andalas. During the learning process, teacher adopted Problem Based Learning approached by e-learn method in teaching and should use interactive mulimedia for student, not only hear, see and memorize concepts that are abstact. Student are expected to do is not just to remember the fact sothat students have no trouble during the learning process. Teachers are expected to be able to use interactive multimedia to make students active to ask, motivated in learning by utilizing a computer. The use of the computer as a medium of learning known as learning with Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI). The application of Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) in teaching process use e-learn is one of the innovation of the learning media display images that are packed in the form of a brief narrative about the animation and the learning is being done, so that it can attract the interest of students. This study aims to adopt the e-learn method as IT-based learning model use problem based learning approached for teachers in teaching and give fun space for student without being limited by space and time. As of 66 students participates in clasroom action research topic Nutrition Counselling on the subject of Education Nutrition. Problem Based Learning (PBL) approached was developed to provide opportunities for student to teacher to determine problems in the topic of adaptation and evolution. Aplication of the learning approached of Problem Based Learning in Undergarduate Nutrition Students can (1) enhance student activities (2) increase student activity from the first cycle to the second cycle and the second cyscle to third cycle (3) the respons of students to Problem Based Learning approached are very positive in that students become more active in the discussion. The results showed that there is an increase in the activity of students actively involved in all learning process from all cycles. The increase in the number of student who are actively in involved in each cycle is of 60% (40 students/66 students) in the first cycle, 78% (52 students/66 students) in the second cycle and third and four cycle almost 90% involve. It can be conclude that Problem Based Learning approached by e-learn method in teaching usefull as interactive mulimedia for student, not only hear, see and memorize concepts that are abstact but come to reality. One of the aesthetic problem which had bother and become a complaint was teeth discoloration that can be overcome by dental bleaching procedures. The use of tooth whitening ingredient can cause side effects such as tooth sensitivity and mucous irritation. Therefore, many researchers have been looking for a safer alternatives materials to be used as tooth whitening ingredients including Strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa) contain of elegat acid and malic acid and Lime (Citrus aurantifolia) contain of citric acid which have potential to whiten the teeth. The purpose of this research is to determine differences strawberry and lime fruit as a natural ingredient of tooth whitening. This research used in vitro laboratory experiment method by using 30 post-extraction premolar on teeth divided into three groups, namely the treatment of strawberry concentration of 100% (K1), the treatment group lime concentration of 2.5% (K2 ) and the treatment control group carbamide peroxide 10% (K3). Color changes measurements was observed pretest and posttest by 15 observers using Shade Guide VITAPAN classical. The research showed that strawberry concentration of 100% have an average difference in the color of teeth is 6.40, lime concentration of 2.5 at 6.20 and carbamide peroxide 10% as the control group amounted to 3.20. Based on the Kruskal Wallis test there are differences in the average value of the observation color of the teeth was significant (P <0.05) and continued with different test further the Post Hoc Test Mann Whitney gained significant difference (p> 0.05) between treatment groups strawberry 100% with carbamide peroxide 10%, lime and 2.5% carbamide peroxide 10%, while among the treatment groups strawberries 100% with 2.5% lime fruit is not significantly different because it has a value of p> 0.05. Strawberry concentration of 100% more effective to whiten teeth than lime concentration of 2.5%, but there is no significant difference in teeth whitening, while lime is more effective than carbamide peroxide 10%. Masalah stunting adalah masalah pembangunan yang kompleks, terkait dengan sebagian besar tujuan dari Sustainable Develompment Goals (SDGs), mulai dari soal memberantas kemiskinan, menghapus kelaparan (zero hunger) dan kurang gizi (termasuk stunting), perbaikan kesehatan ibu dan anak, pemberantasan penyakit, meningkatkan pendidikan, perbaikan lingkungan dan sanitasi, keamanan pangan dan gizi, persamaan gender, dan kerja sama antar bangsa. Pasaman Barat merupakan salah satu kabupaten lokus stunting di Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Dalam kaitan itu diperlukan peran perguruan tinggi dalam hal ini FKM Universitas Andalas untuk pendampingan program pencegahan dan penanggulangan stunting secara integrasi.Tujuannya dalah agar Lintas Sektor terkait dapat bekerja sama dan melakukan kegiatan secara terpadu (integrasi) dalam forum Intervensi Gizi Terintegrasi untuk Anak Stunting (IGTAS). Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah koordinasi dan konsolidasi dengan penerapan Konsep IGT-AS (Intervensi Gizi Terpadu-Anak Stunting) dari tingkat perguruan tinggi, kabupaten, kecamatan dan desa. Sedangkan metode survey dengan pengumpulan data status gizi di tingkat keluarga. Pendampingan yang dilakukan perguruan tinggi ada 2 aspek yaitu di tingkat Kabupaten mendampingi 8 langkah IGT-AS menghasilkan usulan intervensi kepada OPD (Organisasi Perangkat Daerah) terkait intervensi gizi di tingkat Nagari/Desa dengan melaksanakan 5 pilar intervensi melalui kelembagaan Nagari/Desa dan dukungan OPD Kabupaten yang memiliki perpanjangan tangan di tingkat Kecamatan dan Desa/Nagari. Sedangkan di tingkat Desa/Nagari dengan mengambil 1 Nagari/Desa lokus stunting focus pada status gizi anak. Hasil yang didapat dari pendampingan 8 langkah IGT-AS telah dapat melakukan sesuai ketentuan yang dijalankan dan bahkan menjadi contoh pada Kabupaten lain yang melakukan hal yang sama. Hasil survey di tingkat Nagari/Desa diperoleh status gizi TB/U di Nagari Kajai Pasaman Barat ditemukan anak stunting sebanyak 128 (32,8%), anak balita dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif sebesar 60,5%, kunjungan posyandu dalam 3 bulan terakhir ditemukan paling banyak ditimbang secara teratur sebesar 67,7% dan ibu balita yang mengikuti Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) di Nagari Kajai masih rendah sebesar 14,9%. Kesimpulan dan Saran: Peran perguruan tinggi sangat penting terutama dalam peningkatan kapasitas OPD dalam penentuan program intervensi, peningkatan kapasitas petugas kesehatan, kader kegiatan posyandu dan pemberdayaan masyarakat.Di tingkat desa/nagari, dukungan dosen dan mahasiswa dalam pencegahan dan penanganan anak stunting bersama Kader Posyandu dan Perangkat Desa/Nagari sangat dinantikan dan diperlukan.
Athlete's achievements can be achieved with a high level of fitness. This study aims to determine the risk factors for the level of fitness of athletes in the Sport Office and Youth in the West Sumatra Province. This research is analytical with cross sectional design. Samples with purposive sampling method (106 athletes). Data analysis using Chi Square Test, Fisher Exact Test and multiple logistic regression. The fitness level of athletes as much as 78.3% has good fitness. There is a relationship between BMI / Age (p = 0.013) with fitness level and there is no correlation between eating behavior (p = 1.00) and fitness level. Recommended for the next researcher is to examine the effectiveness of nutrition education on athlete's eating behavior and the acceptability of the food menu offered to athletes.
