Background: The handover and transfer of identification often experience a weakness in its implementation and become global problems at the hospital.Objective: This paper focuses on the cause of less optimal implementation of Identification Situation Background Assessment Recommendation (ISBAR) method when conducting handover of nurses among shifts at Army Hospital in Jakarta. Methods: This study employed situation study analysis with a fishbone diagram approach that includes 5M and 1E.Literature review and analysis were utilized to produce recommendation for improving the quality of the ISBAR method implementation when conducting handover of nurses among shifts. Data were obtained from the existing-secondary data, previous research data and data sources from Jakarta Military Hospitals. Results: Data were analyzed using fishbone, data obtained for the cause was not optimal ISBAR method when nursing handover between shifts. causes the problems identified can be prioritized are no tools monitoring evaluation, there is no definitive monitoring evaluation team, monitoring evaluation implementation of nurse handover within shift, hospital has not been a paperback book about ISBAR, components in the handover format not optimal, and the nurse has not been understood properly ISBAR method. Conclusion: The research result reveals six causes of the problem. They are: (1) the absence of evaluation monitoring tools, (2) the absence of definite evaluation monitoring team, (3) non optimal handover evaluation monitoring of nurses among shifts,(4) the absence of a pocket book on ISBAR delivery method, (5) non optimal components in the handover format, and (6) nurses’ inability to conduct ISBAR method correctly.Recommendation: propose the ISBAR method of monitoring and evaluating the handover of nurses between shifts, the establishment of an ISBAR method evaluation monitoring team to hand over nurses between shifts, a draft evaluation monitoring tool, making a pocket book about the ISBAR method, the ISBAR component in the nurse handover format, and provide education and roleplay of the ISBAR method when handover of nurses between shifts
This study aims to identify variables that are related to job satisfaction during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research design used descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The method used is a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 185 nurses who work in the inpatient and outpatient rooms of Hospital X. Data collection uses a questionnaire in the form of google form. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the characteristics of gender, education, marital status, work unit and career path, work experience and job satisfaction of nurses. However, the variables of age, head coaching competence and motivation have a significant relationship with nurse job satisfaction. As for the multivariate results, the constant value obtained is -0.5841, with the variables that influence coaching and motivation. In conclusion, the job satisfaction of implementing nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic is still low and the variables related to job satisfaction of nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic are coaching and motivation. This study aims to describe an innovation program in optimizing nursing logistics management. The method used is in the form of an innovation program through a problem solving approach that starts from problem identification, problem analysis with fishbone diagrams, preparation of POA, implementation with PDCA, evaluation and gap analysis with literature review. The innovation program was applied to the head of the room, team leader and implementing nurses totaling 108 people recruited by purposive sampling using questionnaires, interviews and observations. The results of the study indicate that: 1) the identification stage, still needs to be done to improve the management of nursing logistics; 2) the evaluation stage, E-Logistics and Tele-Logistics can be used as a planning and controlling instruments, simplify the logistics planning process, can prevent stockouts and overstocks, simplify the linen handover system, improve the quality of nursing care. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan mengembangkan metode pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kompetensi perawat dalam pendidikan berkelanjutan melalui e-learning di ruang rawat inap. Metode yang digunakan adalah pilot project mulai dari pengumpulan data, analisis masalah, penetapan prioritas masalah, penyusunan plan of action, implementasi serta evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa setelah pembelajaran e-learning didapatkan data ada kenaikan ilmu pengetahuan perawat diruang rawat inap bedah dengan rata-rata kenaikan dari pretest sampai post test sebesar 29,59%. Kepuasan pasien terhadap mutu asuhan keperawatan sebesar 55% merasa puas, sementara 45% merasa tidak puas. Kepuasan perawat yang menyatakan bahwa perawat puas terhadap profesi keperawatan adalah 96%, sedangkan tidak puas sebesar 4% dari total responden 28 perawat. Perawat yang menyatakan bahwa pelatihan berkelanjutan melalui e-learning dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan adalah sebanyak 12 perawat (setuju) dan 16 perawat (sangat setuju) dari 28 responden. Simpulan, metode pembelajaran pendidikan berkelanjutan melalui e-learning mampu meningkatkan kompetensi perawat di ruang rawat inap bedah. Kata Kunci: CPD, E-Learning, Kepuasan, Perawat
Hospitals are the health care facilities which are required to provide the safe, effective and efficient services that provide the effective communication as one of the patient's safety goals. The handover between nursing shifts is part of the effective communication. If it is not properly implemented, the patient's safety is threatened. The supervision is needed in order to make the handover becomes effective and efficient. The purpose of this study was to identify the problem of applying the handover between the nursing shifts and developing the problem-solving solutions. The method used was a pilot study. The implementation process starts from identifying the problem, analyzing the problem, determining the priority of the problem, developing an action plan, implementation, and evaluation. The root problem analysis was carried out by using fishbone. The sample was 1 emergency department (ED) which involves the 32 staff nurses and 2 head nurses. The result indicates that there are some problems in the application of handover between nursing shifts that was not optimal in nursing supervision. The implementation and evaluation were carried out on 5 shifts of nurse shifts which involves the 32 staff nurses. The evaluation results also showed that there were the increasing number of the handover method among the nursing shifts, the pre-conference and post-conference, the head nurses supervision and team leader, the patient involvement, the supervision format, the documentation of head nurses and team leader, the bedside handover, and the documentation of nursing care. The conclusion in this study showed that the important of graded supervision in order to optimize the application of handover between nursing shifts in accordance with the objectives that must be achieved. Serah terima antar shift keperawatan merupakan bagian dari komunikasi efektif tersebut. Apabila tidak dijalankan dengan benar, maka keselamatan pasien terancam. Supervisi diperlukan agar serah terima berjalan dengan efektif dan efisien. Tujuan studi ini adalah mengidentifikasi masalah dalam penerapan serah terima antar shift keperawatan serta mengembangkan solusi pemecahan masalah. Metode yang digunakan adalah pilot study. Proses pelaksanaan dimulai dari identifikasi masalah, analisis masalah, penetapan prioritas masalah, penyusunan plan of action, implementasi, serta evaluasi. Analisis akar masalah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode fishbone. Sampel dalam studi ini adalah 1 instalasi gawat darurat (IGD) yang meliputi 32 perawat pelaksana dan 2 kepala ruangan. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan ada adanya masalah dalam penerapan serah terima antar shift keperawatan yakni dalam supervisi keperawatan yang belum optimal. Implementasi dan evaluasi dilakukan pada 5 pergantian shift perawat yang melibatkan 32 perawat pelaksana. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan angka penerapan metode serah terima antar shift keperawatan, peningkatan pre conference dan post conference, peningkatan supervisi kepala ruangan dan ketua tim, peningkatan pelibatan pasien, peningkatan format supervisi, peningkatan pendokumentasian kepala ruangan dan ketua tim, peningkatan bedside handover, dan peningkatan pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan. Kesimpulan dalam studi ini mengungkapkan pentingnya supervisi secara berjenjang untuk mengoptimalkan penerapan serah terima antar shift keperawatan sesuai dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai.
