This study aimed to examine the effect of motivation to enter the workforce and workplace readiness achievement of learning on students majoring in economics education field state university economic faculties. This research is causative. The population in this study were all students majoring in economics education UNP force in 2014 by using primary data and secondary data. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis using SPSS version 17. The results of this study indicate that 1) the motivation to enter the workforce a significant effect on job readiness of students majoring in economics education field state university economic faculties 2) The learning achievement no significant effect on job readiness economic education student state university economic faculties desert 3) Motivation to enter the world of work and learning achievements jointly significant effect on job readiness of students majoring in economics education field state university economic faculties.Keywords: Motivation entering the world of work, academic achievement and job readiness
This study aims to look at the effect of family factors, personal characteristics, and economics of the family SMKN dropout rate in the city of Padang. Type of research is quantitative research. The population is all SMKN Padang numbering as many as 10 SMKN, sampling techniques of the elements in this study population using total sampling, Analysis using multiple regression method. The results showed that: 1) There is a significant positive effect between family factors on dropout rates in SMKN Padang, 2) There is no significant positive effect between the personal characteristics of the dropout rate in SMKN Padang, 3) There is a significant positive influence on the economic family SMKN dropout rate in the city of Padang. This means that the greater amount of economically disadvantaged children will cause the higher the dropout rate at SMKN Padang.
The aim of this study is to analyze the interest factor of economic education students to be a teacher through Teacher Professional Education Programs. This study is quantitative descriptive study with using propotional sampling technique. The population in this reseach is 423 students of economic education. Questionnaire is used to collect the data from 81 respondents who know about Teacher Professional Education Programs (PPG) in Economic Education Program in Economic Faculty State University of Padang. The data is collected and analyzed using descriptive and factor analysis. The result of this study show that emotional factor, peer factor, society factor, factor of curiosity, the ability factor, physical factor, and the motive factor are the factor that influence the interest of economic education students to be a teacher through Teacher Professional Education Programs. Based on the result of research, recommended to students majoring in economic education to better understand and add insight into teacher professional education programs by looking for articles and information as well as sosialization from lectures about PPG.Keyword: Economic education program, interest factor, teacher profesional education, emotional, society
This study aims to identify the problems faced by the Batik Tanah Liek industry in West Sumatra thus, based on this identification can be found a solution to solve the problem. The research method used is a qualitative method. The study was conducted in three locations, namely Dharmasraya District, South Coastal District and Padang City. Data collection was done by observation, and in-depth interviews. Data analysis techniques were carried out using qualitative analysis. The results showed that the problems faced by the Tanah Liek batik industry in West Sumatra were: expensive product prices, lack of promotion and marketing, difficulty obtaining additional capital, less strategic business locations, sources of raw materials from outside the island, difficulty in getting competent employees, support from the local government has not been maximized, business management has not been good, the marketing area is still limited, and quality is still inferior compared to batik from Java. Based on the description of the problems faced by batik Tanah Liek creative industry in West Sumatra, the alternative form or solution that can be done is; providing business capital assistance, providing training in promotion and marketing techniques, providing financial report writing training, providing trademark and copyright management training, providing business management training, providing production training for workers, and promoting batik Tanah Liek to all West Sumatran and outsiders West Sumatra.
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of emotional quotient and learning motivation to the adversity quotient of students of the Department of Economic Education Faculty of Economics, State University of Padang in order to complete the study. This study is a descriptive quantitative research. The population of this study are Students of Economic Education Department of Faculty of Economics of State University of Padang 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 years, a namber 439 students and obtained as many samples 81 students by using a formula purposive sampling. The data used are primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to the students of the Department of Economic Education Faculty of Economics, State University of Padang 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 years. The analytical method used is descriptive and quantitative with multiple regression analysis using SPSS version 16. The results showed that: (1) Emotional quotient significantly affects the student's desire of the Department of Economic Education Faculty of Economics, State University of Padang in order to complete the study (2) The motivation to learn not significantly influence the students' desire of the Department of Economic Education, Faculty of Economics, State University of Padang in order to complete the study.
