This study aimed to analyze the adaptation strategy of Semarangan dance style's learning method in Universitas Negeri Semarang during the pandemic. This study uses qualitative and quantitative methods. The data collections were interview, observation, documentation techniques, and literature review. Triangulation used as the data validity test. The result shows that lecturer and students have adapted with the situations. The lecturer uses virtual collaborative learning method by optimizing the use of ICT. The lecturer shares instructional videos as a media that helps students to learn. There are opportunities and obstacles in implementing online learning especially in the dance learning. Online learning makes students practice the dance independently. It is also not limited by distance and time. Semarangan dance style's learning has several distinctive motion techniques, so the difficulty is in giving feedback to students directly because the lecturer couldn't touch the body parts that need to be fixed with certain techniques.
Education is one of the aspects affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The online learning that has been taken since the outbreak began in March 2020 has an impact on the effectiveness of the learning outcomes themselves. This research is a qualitative research that aims to obtain a description of online learning for the Learning Evaluation course at the Javanese Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Arts, Universitas Negeri Semarang, even semester 2020/2021. Online learning at Unnes uses the Elena system to support optimizing lecture outcomes. The technique of collecting data in this study used a questionnaire technique with 92 respondents in the sixth semester of the Java Language and Literature Education Study Program who took the Learning Evaluation course. The data analysis technique uses the Miles & Huberman (1994) technique which consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions and reflections. The results of this study indicate that online learning has been effective in achieving the learning objectives of the course, but it needs to be improved so that it is more structured in providing online material. The results of this study are used as guidelines for improving online learning, especially in the Learning Evaluation course in the coming semester and online learning in all courses in general.
The existence of Javanese novels in Javanese literature learning has a standard thickness of novels (more than 100 pages) with various themes. Not all novels that have been published can be used as study material in literature learning. Literary works that can be used as teaching material with the theme of Semarang history. There are various values of life that can be learned, such as religion and tolerance, openness, and discipline, and hard work. There are two main objectives of the research, namely (1) the characteristics of the needs of teachers and students and (2) the draft novelet in Javanese with the theme of Semarang history. This development research was carried out with a research and development (R&D) design developed by Borg and Gall (2003) and modified into two stages, namely (1) preliminary studies and (2) draft development. The characteristics of the needs of teachers and students are seen from the four aspects of book feasibility, namely material, language, presentation, and graphics. The novelet draft consists of the beginning, the content, and the end. The initial section consists of the title page, the publication page, the table of contents page, and the foreword page. The contents of the novelet draft consisted of four short novels with historical themes in the city of Semarang, such as Ki Ageng Pandanaran, Admiral Cheng Ho, the legend of Gua Kreo, and the Five Days Battle in Semarang. The final section contains the author's biography.
Learning Javanese during the Covid-19 pandemic experienced several challenges. On the one hand, it is hoped that this lesson will remain strong as an entry point for the inheritance of noble character through language preservation. While on the other hand, learning Javanese, like a common phenomenon that is also faced by other subjects in schools in Indonesia, is experiencing difficulties due to online learning. This study reveals the phenomena, obstacles, and opportunities of learning Javanese, although in some cases it can also be generalized to other subjects. The design of this study was qualitative, using questionnaires and interviews with parents. This research shows that with the various difficulties faced in learning during the pandemic, face-to-face meetings and conventional learning such as the period before the Covid-19 pandemic were considered irreplaceable. However, our elaboration study shows something else. Learning that is more flexible and involves information technology should be paid more attention to equip students to develop more.
