This paper includes a study of primary school teachers' vision about the most effective methods of strengthening the school-family partnership during the preparatory grade, the first year of study of the Romanian primary educational system. We aim at identifying optimum solutions for practitioners based on teachers' vision about the best practices regarding the matter of school partnerships. Students' families are the most important partners of the school representatives and significantly influence children's development and education. This study offers a large number of effective methods of enhancing school-family cooperation during the preparatory grade, relying on the present educational realities of Romania. We have discovered that the most effective and frequently used strategies of consolidating the school-family partnership are individual meetings, extracurricular activities, and collective meetings. Teachers' opinion regarding the frequency, duration, and contents of common activities of parents and children are: activities should be realized at least once a month or semester, they should be accessible and interesting for the children and they should be designed in accordance with the curriculum.
Within this study, we proposed to accomplish an analysis of the main health education programs implemented in our country during the last 20 years. In this regard, a series of health education programs and projects implemented at the primary school level of the educational units in our country were analyzed. We proposed to establish an inventory of the most frequently encountered topics of these programs, in addition to the identification of these programs, their initiators and their main partners. Thus, online searches were conducted in order to identify international, national, regional and local educational programs and projects. The main goal of these programs was the formation and development of health education related behaviors, knowledge, and attitudes. Moreover, a series of documents made by primary school teachers were analyzed, in order to conclude which are the main topics of these educational/ partnership projects initiated in the scope of health education. The study highlights the importance of implementing such interventions, by identifying effective measures that can be taken in order to successfully organize and implement such programs.
We aim to find the main factors that influence the family level of involvement regarding the children's education and in school life at the beginning of the Romanian primary education. The results of this investigation are useful for educators, counselors and school principals interested in applying the effective strategies in order to increase the family level of involvement regarding the children's education. We were interested in finding out if there are significant differences regarding the family involvement at school or at home, given the living environment of the participants. The geographic area where the participants live and their professional status were the main factors considered during the investigation. We have found that most of the participants are moderately involved in their children's education. The results obtained both in the rural and urban areas, help us to conclude that the common efforts of the school and family are necessary in order to consolidate the school-family partnership and increase the family participation in school activities. Wir wollten herausfinden, ob es signifikante Unterschiede im familiären Engagement in der Schule oder zu Hause gibt, wenn man die Lebensumstände der Teilnehmer berücksichtigt. Das geographische Gebiet, in dem die Studienteilnehmer leben, und ihr beruflicher Status waren die Hauptfaktoren, die während der Untersuchung berücksichtigt wurden. Wir haben festgestellt, dass die meisten Teilnehmer aktiv an der Erziehung ihrer Kinder zu Hause beteiligt sind. Die Ergebnisse, die sowohl in ländlichen als auch in städtischen Gebieten erzielt wurden, helfen uns zu dem Schluss, dass die gemeinsamen Anstrengungen von Schule und Familie notwendig sind, um die Schul-Familienpartnerschaft zu stärken und die Familienbeteiligung an Schulaktivitäten zu erhöhen. "In the context in which the teaching, learning, and assessment processes take place in the online environment, the question arises whether the currently organized learning situations are as effective as the learning situations carried out in the classroom, before the beginning of the pandemic. One of the disadvantages of online learning is related to the teacher’s low control over students’ activity. Factors such as initiative, creativity, efficient time management, intrinsic motivation, responsibility, and intellectual curiosity play an important role in students’ success in learning activities. Attendance at courses should not be formal and superficial and should be a process that involves the active and interactive participation of the students in the learning process. Providing high-quality educational opportunities to all students is a goal that is increasingly difficult to achieve in the context of the absence of face-to-face interactions. Also, applying a curriculum focused on the needs of the learner is becoming hard to achieve. Through this research, we aim to investigate issues related to how online learning takes place and to establish ways in which we can increase the efficiency of current teaching and learning processes. The study revealed that in the opinion of most of the students, the current epidemiological context has influenced in a negative way the quality of teaching and the student-teacher educational relationship.
