The research was conducted in the Garden of Development of Horticultural Seeds of West Java Province. The purpose of research to know the influence of age of rootstock and budding method to the success of citrus (Citrus sp). Research method using Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 factors. The first factor is the age of the Understump (rootstock) consisting of 5 levels, namely the stem age of 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 months, while the second factor is the budding method consisting of 2 levels, namely T (T-budding) budding method and the budding (Chip-budding). The results showed that the treatment of budding method and the age of rootstock did not interact in all observation variables. The treatment of budding method and the age of rootstock independently had a very significant effect on the high percentage of shoots, no significant effect on the stem bud diameter and significantly affect the number of leaves. The best treatment on the method of budding is the method of Insert (Chip-Budding), while at the lowest rootstock is the best age of rootstock 6 months.
Gibberellin are hormones that accelerate the germination of seeds, buds sprout, stem elongation, leaf growth, stimulate flowering, fruit development, affecting root growth and differentiation. The research aims to determine the response kailan plants (Brassica oleraceae L.) against immersion PGR gibberellin (GA3) with various types growing media have been conducted in Ciparanje Jatinangor since March 2015 to May 2015. Using a randomized block design (RAK) factorial design with three replications consisting of two factors. The first factor is the provision of PGR gibberellin (GA3) which consists of: (1) 0 ppm (2) 25 ppm (3) 50 ppm (4) 75 ppm (5) 100 ppm. The second factor is the type of growing media consisting of: (1) land (2) husk (3) cocopeat, with observation parameters plant height, leaf number, fresh plant weight, dry plant weight and dashed root. The results showed that the use of PGR gibberellin (GA3) with a concentration of (g2) 50 ppm and the type of soil planting medium (m1) of the most influential in improving growth and yield of kailan plant.
Musa acuminata L. growth has influenced by environment. Environmental stresses are caused by biotic factors such as fungi, bacteria and herbivore and abiotic factors such as temperature, water, light and salinity. Salinity stresses cause a decrease in the production of banana. The purpose of the research was to validity and confirmation 4-Coumarate-CoA ligase Like5 (4CLL5) gene with 18S reference genes as a control genes on planlets of banana with sodium chloride (NaCl) application. 4-Caomarate-CoA-ligase Like5 is an enzyme key in phenyl-propanoid metabolism like lignin and flavonoid that essential for plant defense on abiotic factor like salinity is coded by 4CLL5 on Musa acuminate L. Salinity is abiotic factors which affect the growth of banana plant. Gene expression 4CLL5 on banana by using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Research using shoot banana in vitro culture with any concentration of sodium chloride (NaCl) were 0.00, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20 M. In addition to, in this research was using 4CLL5 as a primers. The expression of genes analysis was using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The results showed that 4CLL5 gene was expressed up regulated on NaCl 0.05 and 0.1 M but down regulated in 0.15 and 0.20 M.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
