The objectives of the study were to investigate the process of English writing from students of undergraduate international class, to describe problems faced by students in writing English, and to find out the factors which inhibit and improve their writing skills. There were six female respondents in international class. The study used documentation from the students’ work, open-ended questionnaire and interview as the instruments for data gathering. All the data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study showed that all students used four stages in the process of English writing: planning, drafting, editing and final revision. The students’ English writing problems covered content, organization, vocabulary, language use and mechanic. The factors which inhibit them in writing English included not being confident in writing English, not mastering grammar and vocabulary, and lack of practice in writing. The aspects which encourage them to write English were due to the demands as international class students, watching English movie, reading English books or journals, listening English songs and having ambition to acquire scholarship overseas.
Perkembangan merupakan suatu perubahan yang tejadi pada anak yang dapat dilihat dari aspek motorik, emosi, kognitif dan psikososial interaksi anak terhadap lingkungan. Perkembangan anak paling pesat pada umur 0-6 tahun biasanyadisebut sebagai masa keemasaan atau the goldenages. Pada masa ini faktor stimulasi menjadi sangat penting dalam suatu perkembangan anak agar kemampuan anak terganggu meliputi perkembangan motorik halus, motorik kasar, bahasa dan kemampuan sosial. Tuhuan penelitian untuk mengetahui perilaku orang tua dalam menstimulasi anak usia 0-6 tahun di kecamatan Gringsing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriftif dengan menggunakan pendekatan metode survey. Tehnik pengembalian sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan didapatkan sampel sebanyak 65 responden. Alat penggumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner perilaku. Penelitian ini didapatkan hasilsebagian besar orang tua memiliki perilaku baik yaitu sebanyak 56 responden (86,2%), sebagian kecil memiliki perilaku cukup yaitu sebanyak 9 responden (13,8%) dan ≥35% responden belum melakukan motorik halus. Orang tua dapat mencari informasi tentang stimulasi perkembangan anak usia 0-6 tahun dengan jalan sering membaca buku, majalah, membuka internet bertanya kepada tenaga kesehatan, kader Posyandu, teman, atau keluarga untuk meningkatkan stimulasi perkembangan anak usia 0-6 tahun akan meningkat. The technique of returning this sample with that purposive sampling and be found sample of 65 respondents. The instrument to collect data used questionnaire. This research got the result most parents have good behavior that as much 56 respondents 86,2%), some have enough behavior which 9 respondents (13,8%) and ≥35% of respondents have not done fine motor skills. Expected to find information about the stimulation of development of children aged 0-6 years by often reading books, magazines, opening the internet asking health workers, Posyandu cadres, friends, or family so that knowledge of developmental stimulation of children aged 0-6 years will increase. Understanding an intended meaning of the expressive utterances becomes an important part in capturing text messages. This study focuses on classifying types of expressive, analyzing translation techniques of expressive utterances, and describing the subtitling accuracy in Aladdin movie script. The data were expressive utterances and their Indonesian translation taken from Aladdin movie script and their translation. The data were collected by means of content analysis, analyzed through descriptive qualitative method based on speech act theory of Searle (1985) and context situation theory of Brown and Yule (1983). The steps of analysis were identifying data, classifying data, describing the data, and drawing the conclusion. The results of the study show that there are eleven kinds of expressive utterances namely apologizing, thanking, condoling, congratulating, complaining, lamenting, protesting, deploring, boasting, complimenting, greeting, and welcoming. Besides, the study also found ten types of translation techniques: linguistics compression, established equivalence, literal translation, reduction, amplification, modulation, calque, transposition, adaption and compensation. The translation accuracy of expressive utterances used by translator in the movie script of Aladdin is an accurate translation.
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi bahwa pendidikan adalah hak semua warga. Sementara itu, kenyataan yang terjadi saat ini adalah sistem pendidikan di Indonesia belum mengakomodasi keberagaman, baik keberagaman dari segi agama, etnis, bahkan kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh anak. Padahal sangat jelas diatur dalam Permendiknas bahwa pendidikan inklusi merupakan pendidikan sistem penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang memberikan kesempatan kepada semua peserta didik dengan kekhususan dan bakat istimewa yang dimilikinya untuk mengikuti pendidikan secara bersama-sama dengan peserta didik yang lain pada umumnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini adalah Pertama, penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mendeskripsikan secara umum pengelolaan inklusi melalui metode belajar bersama alam. Kedua, menyajikan deskripsi tentang implikasi pengelolaan inklusi melalui metode belajar bersama alam. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data-data yang diperoleh bersumber dari observasi, pengumpulan data di lapangan, interview, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode belajar bersama alam di kelas inklusi secara umum sama dengan kelas reguler. Metode belajar bersama alam diterapkan dengan tiga tahapan, yakni perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Penerapan metode belajar bersama alam dilakukan secara bersama oleh guru kelas, asisten guru kelas, dan shadow teacher. Sedangkan implikasi pengelolaan kelas inklusi melalui metode belajar bersama alam ini antara lain siswa lebih mencintai alam, mengembangkan karakter siswa, serta menanamkan rasa tanggung jawab siswa..
Dysmenorrhea is pain during or before the start of menstruation. The incidence of dysminorrhea in adolescents in Central Java by 2015 is estimated to be 12% to 35% of teenagers, while in Kendal regency as many as 11,565 people (29.8%). Methods of hot and cold water compress ispart of the non-pharmacological methods that are effective, easy, and cheap to overcome dysmenorrheal pain. The purpose of this research was to know the difference of warm water compress and cold water compress to decrease pain intensity of adolescent girl with dysmenorrhea in MAN Kendal. This research usei Quasi Experimental design with Pretest-Posttest design, Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study is 17 people in each treatment group whith was collected with the reasareh uset questeonnare bowbonais as researeh instrument pair schale.the consecutive sampling. Data analysis used Wilcoxonand Man Withn. The results showed that there was a difference in pain intensity before and after being given warm water compresses in adolescent girls with dysmenorrhea in MAN Kendal (p value 0.000 <0.05). There was a difference in pain intensity before and after being given cold water compresses on adolescent girls with dysmenorrhea at MAN Kendal (p value 0.000 <0.05). Warm water compresses are more effective at reducing the intensity of pain than cold water compresses in adolescent girl with dysmenorrhea at MAN Kendal. It is expected that adolescent girls who experience dysmenorrhea can use warm compress cold water compress therapy independently when experiencing dysmenorrhea pain that can reduce the consumption of painkillers.
