Islamic mentoring in a senior high school in Bandung has not been thoroughly evaluated. Thus, the researchers conducted an evaluation of the mentoring program to see its effectiveness in enhancing religious commitment as the goal of carrying out these activities. This is an evaluative research with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The study sample consisted of 38 IRMa Luqman members. This study used a program evaluation scale and religious commitment scale, as well as interviews as supporting data. Descriptive percentage analysis and interviews are used to find out the results qualitatively, while the comparative analysis uses the paired sample t-test to find out the results quantitatively. Evaluation results show that mentoring activities have run quite effectively, also religious commitment of respondents increased significantly. Thus, it can be concluded that the islamic mentoring program is effective enough to increase religious commitment to IRMa Luqman members at SMAN 10 Bandung.
This research aims to understand correlation between religiousity and juvenile delinquency. Proporsonal sampling used taking 74 students of grade XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Surade academic year 2011/2012. Research design is non-experimental using correlational method. Instruments used are religiousity scale (60 itms) and juvenile delinquency scale (59 items). Result shows that 61% students have high religiousity level and 53% students have low juvenile delinquency level. Correlation analysis result cooficient correlation -0,579 meaning that religiousity negatively correlated with juvenile delinquency.
This research based on phenomena of teenagers who actively join mosque activity but often do free sex such as exchanging partners, paying whore both from the steet and prostitution. They know what they do is a sin but they said that they can not control themselves. It can be said that subjects in this problem have high religious level and high free sex behaviours. This quantitative research used correlational methodology. Population are 120 teenagers around 4 mosques who actively join mosque activity in Cikungkurak Bandung. Correlation between two variables analyzed using statistical correlation Rank Spearman. Result found coefficient correlation between religiousity and free sex behaviour is -0,187 with sifnificant level is 0,030 and α= 0,05. Since significant level is less than α, so Ho is rejected. Therefore, it is concluded that there is negative correlation between religiousity and free sex behaviours.
Teacher competences is a capability in doing teaching learning process in the class. That competences expected making the students respect to the teacher, enjoy the learning process and increase their motivation. According to Barloe (1985) teacher competences are teacher capability in doing their work and responsilibity. Meanwhile, learning motivation is students psychological effort that encourage learning activity and give direction on learning to get a certain goal (Winkel, 2009). This research used correlational design and Rank Spearman formula. Subject are 130 grade IX Junior High School students. Probability value is 0,001 which is less than α= 0,05. It means that Ho is rejected and it is concluded that there is positive correlation between teacher competences and learning motivation.
