Nowadays, Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play essential role for the development of the economy. Thus, any improvement on the performance of such organizations may contribute significantly on overall economy. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effect of business sphere on competitive advantage and business performance. In addition we study the effects of the competitive advantage on business performance of SMEs through a quantitative approach and by considering 50 businessman SMEs built by Surabaya Trade Service Department. Data collection in this study was prepared by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis technique used in this research is SEM analysis with PLS. The results indicate that: (1) business sphere influences on business performance of SMEs under the Surabaya Trade Service Department; (2) business sphere has substantial influence on competitive advantage of SMEs in the Surabaya Trade Service Department; (3) competitive advantage sphere has substantial influence to business performance of SMEs built by Surabaya Trade Service Department.
In the current globalization era, global marketing is marketing that accepts complex (geocentric) world market similarities through the integration of domestic, foreign and international marketing activities that can create synergies while maintaining organizational strategic objectives and competitive advantage as the power of global marketing efforts. The existence of increasingly sophisticated information, transportation and communication technology is very supportive of the existence of global markets and closer distances and accelerating long periods of time. The target population in the study were students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Bhayangkara Surabaya who had made purchases with a minimum of 2 times gofood. in this case the number of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Bhayangkara Surabaya who had made purchases with a minimum of 2x gofood was 1083. So with the Slovin sample formula as many as 100 respondents. The variables in this study consisted of independent variables namely price, promotion, and discount, while the dependent variable was customer satisfaction. To find out the outcome simultaneously and partially used multiple linear regression analysis. The conclusion of this research is that there is a simultaneous and partial influence of prices, promotions and discounts on gofood consumer satisfaction among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Bhayangkara University, Surabaya. The dominant variable influencing consumer satisfaction is promotion.
Social media is a tool or means that can be accessed by everyone without limitation of time and distance as long as there is an internet network. The existence of social media that has wide, easy, and fast access is used by MSME small entrepreneurs to be more courageous in promoting their products as an effective and efficient marketing medium. The rapid development of MSMEs has made the use of social media even higher. The existence of MSMEs is expected to be able to expand employment opportunities, accelerate the process of economic equality, increase community income, and promote national stability. The use of social media is expected to be able to increase the marketing reach of MSME businesses. With the Thematic Real Work Lecture program, it is hoped that outreach and training activities on the development of MSME marketing in Kedungrejo Village through social media can provide an understanding of the importance of social media in developing business while keeping up with the times and can be used as much as possible. Competition in the business world is getting tougher. Companies must be managed dynamically, following the current trends, where the world cannot be separated from technology and the Internet. One of the basic prerequisites for creating competitive advantage is the availability of reliable and competent human resources in accordance with the characteristics of the company. The high level of employee work performance is influenced by several factors including compensation, work experience, and benefits. Compensation, work experience, and welfare benefits are seen as one of the things that can affect the work productivity of employees, because both of these things are now not viewed solely as a means of satisfying material needs but have been one of the basic needs of humans. Hypothesis testing is done based on quantitative tests with relevant statistical test tools. The results of the study state that Compensation, work experience, and welfare benefits have a significant effect on employee work productivity. This is indicated by the probability value of t-count for the variable wages, years of service, and welfare benefits. Compensation has a dominant influence on employee work productivity. This is indicated by the Beta coefficient value for the compensation variable of 0.444 greater than the value of the Beta coefficient variable work experience and welfare benefits. Persaingan dalam industri jasa pengiriman menjadi semakin ketat. Dengan adanya kondisi tersebut, membuat setiap perusahaan harus mampu bertahan hidup, bahkan harus dapat terus berkembang. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh timeliness terhadap Customer Satisfaction dan Customer Loyalty. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kausal. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu konsumen yang pernah melakukan menggunakan jasa pengiriman PT. JNE sebanyak 100 sampel dengan menggunakan teknik Accidental sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil dalam penelitian ini dibuktikan bahwa timeliness berpengaruh signifikan secara langsung terhadap Customer Satisfaction dan Customer Loyalty. Hasil dalam penelitian ini juga dibuktikan bahwa Customer Satisfaction berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Customer Loyalty.
