Thermodynamics is a concept in physics that is considered difficult. This is because the students have to use high order thinking skills. Meanwhile, some research results indicate that students’ high order thinking skills are still low. In this study, guided inquiry based hypermedia was applied to hone students’ high order thinking skills on thermodynamics concepts. This research was conducted at SMA Islam Terpadu Mentar iIlmu Karawang in April 2020. Quasi-experimental was used as a method in this research. The research sample was class XI students who were grouped into the experimental class and the control class. The test instruments used were essay questions and non-test instruments used were questionnaires. The N-gain result shows that the posttest mean score of the experimental class increased. However, the increase was categorized as moderate. Hypothesis testing shows that there is an effect of guided inquiry based hypermedia on students’ high order thinking skills. Meanwhile, the results of the questionnaire showed that learning using hypermedia based on guided inquiry received a positive response from students and was categorized as very good (83%).
MODEL PEMBELAJARAN EFEK INQUIRY DENGAN TEKNIK PICTORIAL RIDDLE BERBASIS KEMAMPUAN HAL KREATIF MAHASISWA TERHADAP KONSEP SUHU DAN PANASAbstractThis study to determine the effect of inquiry model with technique pictorial riddle based digital on students’ creative thinking in temperature and heat concept. The study was conducted at SMAN 01 Rumpin on even semester year 2019/2020. Purposive sampling was used to determine the sample that class XI science I as experiment class and class XI science II as control class. This study used a quasi-experimental method as a research methodology and nonequivalent control group research design. This study used 8 essay questions as instrumental tests and questionnaires as instrumental nontest. Based on hypothesis test of posttest score by using t’ test showed Sig. (2-tailed) < significant standard. This shows that learning using inquiry model with technique pictorial riddle based digital effect to the creative thinking of the student. Also, in the experimental N-Gain test the experimental class increased which was superior to the control class. While, the results of questionnaire response of students to learning using inquiry model with technique pictorial riddle base digital, who got a very good category (78%).
The study was a quasi-experimental research involving nonequivalent control group design. This study aimed at investigating the impact of simulation media toward students'critical thinking in static fluid concept at SMAN 10 South Tangerang. The research was conducted from January 28 th until February 13 th , 2019. The technique used was purposive sampling to determine research subjects. The subjects were consisting of XI IPA 2 as an experiment class and XI IPA 1 as a control class. The data were obtained from test in the form of 10 essays questions and questionnaire. Significantly, the post test data showed that learning by using simulation media influenced toward students' critical thinking skill. Simulation media obtained positive response with very good category (86%).
