Despite of its rapid growth, fast fashion industry is still considered as an under-researched field. Researches related to fast fashion are rare to be found, both in academic and marketing aspects. This research is conducted to serve the purpose of addressing the characteristics of consumer behavior of Coventry University students in fast fashion industry at Coventry, to analyze how the general and conventional theories of consumer behavior apply to the consumer behavior of fast fashion, and to identify the factors influencing consumer behavior of Coventry University students in fast fashion industry at Coventry. The analyses are based on the combination of the general consumer behavior theories, empirical findings from questionnaires conducted at Coventry University, and studies of fashion and fast fashion. There are 2 main findings of this study. Gender has no influence on students' purchasing decisions. Whereas, culture has an influence on students' purchasing decisions in Conventry University. The findings of this study are further developed into marketing recommendations and offers of idea for further research.Keywords: consumer behaviors, purchasing decisions, cultural factor, gender, and fastfashion industry This research is expected to contribute on finding the reasons of consumer's different preferences in fast-fashion industry and what influences the purchasing decision. This research is also expected to separate consumer behavior pattern of fast fashion industry from the conventional fashion industry.
Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia Banjarmasin. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan pemahaman tentang Kampus Hijau, Bank Sampah, dan penanggulangan sampah plastik di tingkat perguruan tinggi, khususnya mahasiswa/i serta civitas akademika Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia Banjarmasin. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi bahaya sampah plastik, pemanfaatan sampah plastik menjadi produk bernilai jual, serta untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dari bank sampah di Kota Banjarmasin, khususnya di tingkat perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan di pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah sosialisasi terkait Bank Sampah dan penanggulangan sampah plastik. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman peserta sosialisasi terhadap Bank Sampah dan penanggulangan sampah plastik. Peserta berhasil memahami apa saja jenis-jenis sampah plastik yang ada, pemanfaatannya menjadi bahan baku kerajinan tangan, serta bagaimana mengintegrasikan penanggulangan sampah plastik dengan aktivitas Bank Sampah.
Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hubungan antar manusia terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Kantor Distrik Navigasi Kelas II Banjarmasin. Hubungan antar manusia merupakan segala hubungan-hubungan kemanusiaan baik formal maupun non formal yang dijalankan oleh suatu individu atau kelompok dalam usaha untuk memupuk kerja sama yang intim dan selaras guna mencapai tujuan yang ditetapkan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan teknik random sampling diperoleh sampel sebanyak 40 karyawan. Teknis analisis yang digunakan adalah uji statistik untuk menguji seberapa jauh pengaruh satu variabel penjelas atau independen secara individual dalam menerangkan variasi variabel dependen menggunakan program SPSS. Pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan perbandingan nilai t hitung dan nilai t tabel sesuai dengan tingkat signifikan yang digunakan yaitu 0.05. berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui ada pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan secara parsial hubungan antar manusia terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Kantor Distrik Navigasi Kelas II Banjarmasin. Berdasarkan uji t, hubungan antar manusia diperoleh sig. 0.066 terhadap kinerja karyawan > 0.05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima.
This study aims to determine the effect of individual characteristics on job satisfaction at Teluk Tiram Public Health Center employees. Individual characteristics in this study focused on interests, attitudes, abilities and moods. Meanwhile, job satisfaction focuses on salaries, promotions, supervision (relationships with superiors), co-workers and the work itself.This research is a quantitative research with causality design. The population in this study were all employees of the Teluk Tiram Community Health Center totaling 36 respondents, with a questionnaire as a research instrument. The research hypothesis was tested using simple linear regression analysis using the SPSS version 25 program.The results showed that individual characteristics had a significant effect on job satisfaction at Teluk Tiram Health Center employees, indicated by a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 and a t-count value of 6.371. Therefore, individual characteristics variables have a significant and significant effect on job satisfaction for employees of Teluk Tiram Public Health Centers.
