Developing theme in a text of Arabic reading is the basis in a creative writing. By understanding the pattern of theme development in a text, beginner who wants to write in Arabic is easier in arranging the idea. This article is a research to see a great correlation between thematic progression with the creative writing in Arabic. The book taken as sample was al-Qira� 'ah al-Ra� syidah which is used in MAN Karang Anyar and MAN 1 Surakarta. Related to the rheme in developing the theme, the students of both school wrote their daily activity by using thematic progression patterns. The result of the study showed that there is a great correlation between thematic progression pattern with the creative writing in Arabic.

This research aims to explore the impact of the translation techniques on translation methods of Qur’an translation of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion on Fawatih al-Suwar. To collect data, observation and focused group discussion were conducted. The results of the analysis revealed that there are 11 translation techniques applied. The most dominant technique in this analysis is the established equivalent technique because it cannot be separated from the context. The finding from the analysis showed that the communicative method is the most oriented method. It can be proven by knowing the average total of the translation techniques. For communicative method, it has a percentage of 96,30% translation techniques. Then the rest of 3,70% of translation techniques reflect faithful method.

The research adopts the genetic structuralism theory with its emphasis on literary text (intrinsic analysis), socio cultural background (historic social reality observation), and the writer.The method is the dialectic method, mutual relations between structures of a literary work (the intrinsic features of "Thauqul--Chamāmah fil--Ilfah wal--Ullāf"), historic materialism (socio cultural background of Andalusya at the time the work was written), and the writer of "Thauqul--Chamāmah fil--Ilfah wal--Ullāf". The conclusion of the research is that according to Ibnu Chazm Al--Andalusy, the concept of love (Al--chubbun--nazhary) must be based on syari'ah. In another word, the theory of love, the cause of love, expressing love, mantaining love, meeting and "leaving" the one, must be based on syari'ah.

<p>This article aims at describing the personalities of characters in Wajh Al-Haqiqāh<br />shortstory by Taufīq Al-Chakīm based on Carl Gustav Jung’s theory of personality. Data used in this research were obtained from primary and secondary data. Primary data source in this research is Wajh Al-Haqiqāh shortstory by Taufīq Al-Chakīm and secondary data sources are books, journals, and internet sources relevant to this study. The problem analyzed in this research is the personality of each character in Wajh Al-Haqiqāh shortstory by Taufīq Al-Chakīm. When explaining the research problem, the researchers applied Cal Gustav Jung’s theory of personality. The results of analysis show that each character has different personalities. The structure of human’s soul consists of two worlds, consciousness and unconsciousness.</p>
