This research discusses practices of the magical culture in pesantren in Banten. The research model used in this study is qualitative-descriptive. Historical studies are used to present a narrative and chronological presentation of the storyline of a discussion. Pesantren in Banten has distinct characteristics compared to other pesantren in Indonesia. Most people believe that Banten is a Province in Indonesia that is famous for its ulama, kyai, santri, and pesantren. Those stereotypes and beliefs arise because Islamic values have been rooted strongly in most Banten citizens traditionally, culturally, and ritually. One of the characteristics of pesantren in Banten is that every santri is taught magic, silat (martial art), and tasawuf knowledge. Those characteristics have always been a matter of discussion because people believe that there are practices of magic in every pesantren in Banten. Some sources mention Banten as a center for the occult sciences, as well as known as a religious region. Magical practice is still considered important for the people of Banten, especially those living in rural areas to solve practical problems in their social life. In addition, the existence of jawara (warrior) and pesantren has created its own culture that is different from the dominant culture of Banten society.
The objective of this research is to find out about character education cares environment based on local knowledge. The studies method used is ethnographic with qualitative approach. This method is implemented because the research is related to the social, traditional ceremony, customary societies, and social as well as cultural phenomena. The data are gathered through in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. The selection of respondent as samples uses purposive sampling technique. The result is probed meticulously through technique triangulation. The result shows that Urug societies have created societies character for the environment both social and ecology environment through applicating and conserve the tradition of heritage namely picking must ask for permission. The tradition is conducted collectively as societies habit when they release cultivating of paddies. There are two sorts of ceremony cultural such as Harvesting traditional ceremony (seren taun) and alms to earth (sedekah bumi). Permiting tradition in picking paddies must be conducted because they have the view that a person must admit to the god before planting paddies through alms to earth. When the time for harvesting coming, societies propose admitting again before collecting paddies in the field. Once after paddies have been stored, Urug societies held harvesting ceremony collectively as a form that they have been gratefully when they obtain paddies yield. The other is Urug societies avoid greedy principle, it enacts Urug societies avoid from the environment devastated typically land because they farm paddies only one time in a year rather than 3-4 periods in a year. Other is Urug societies have applicated environment ethics both ecocentrism and biocentrism perspective to preserve nature from ravage. They also select agriculture as their venue to survive because they think that farmer is honest person and vanish envy temper in their life. Farmer embedded cooperation, mutual assisting, and mutual supporting among them.
This study aims to determine the formation of student leadership characters through the subjects of Islamic cultural history at MAN 1 Bogor Regency. The method used in this research is a survey method with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 40% of the total population of 150 students of class X (60 respondents) using simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires (questionnaires) and documentation. In the validity test of the 20 items, there are 18 questions that are proven valid and the reliability test results of the coefficient of 0.703 are declared reliable. Analyst requirements test is done by linearity test and normality test. Data analysis used the product moment correlation technique and after calculating the Pearson correlation, the rxy yield was 0.817 at an index of 0.80-1,000, which means that there is a strong correlation between the formation of student leadership characters and the history of Islamic culture at MAN 1, Bogor Regency. The results of the study were indicated by the tcount value of 10,658 and the ttable was found to be 1,672. So the conclusion is that tcount > ttable (10,658 > 1,672). If tcount > ttable then Ho is rejected, meaning that it is statistically significant, from the results of the t test a significant value less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) means that there is a significant relationship between the formation of leadership character in class X students and the subject of cultural history. This research is aim to find out what kind of actions that Radar Bogor will take to prevent the Covid-19 hoax and what penalty will Radar Bogor online give to the journalist who’s been suspected in spreading the Covid-19 hoax. This qualitative research is using the description method. The population that is involved in this research is the journalist, the editor and the redaction of Radar Bogor. The collecting data method that was used in this research are observation and interview. The result from this research is that, none of Radar Bogor’s journalist has broken the journalist ethic code rules, mainly in the Covid-19 hoax. The implication of this research is (1) Society as the consumer of Radar Bogor online media should use this media as the source of their information in developing their knowledge and creativity. (2) The Radar Bogor Media is expected to keep producing the actual latest news, based on the reality and not to take any advantage, so the Radar Bogor media could keep their existence in this era of media competition.
