This paper tries to compare the governance of handling the Coronavirus Diseases (Covid 19) pandemic in Indonesia and India. Although it had implemented a total lockdown until September the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in India reached more than 4.7 million with a death toll of more than 78 thousand people. Meanwhile, Indonesia has never recorded a total lockdown. The result is no better than India. Throughout September, seven times the record positive addition of Covid 19 broke. We try to do the best government policy analysis among the worst. This paper is made from qualitative research, namely research aimed at generating knowledge in a coherent way. Using the literature method, collecting as much information from print and electronic media related to COVID 19 in Indonesia and India, we analyzed the policies of the governments of the two countries. This paper recommends a thorough evaluation of the Indonesian government's policy in handling covid 19. Indonesia now tops the statistics on the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Southeast Asia.
The community's economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic is a real event that occurred in the City of Tasikmalaya, this condition directly deepens the level of poverty in the City of Tasikmalaya. The existence of an economic recession is one form that is often encountered due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to examine the relationship between government and society in tackling poverty in the city of Tasikmalaya. A qualitative approach with a case study method is used in this study, data collection techniques using observation, documentation, and interviews and data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study uses the theory of structural change which explains that economic changes occur in the community due to a shift from the agricultural sector to industry, this condition indicates that the relationship between government and society is intended to be able to create an economic structure that is able to prevent and overcome poverty. The results of the study show that the government and community relations have not been effective in tackling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic which has an impact on invalid data on the poor in Tasikmalaya City, community empowerment that has not been optimal, and the vulnerability of women in the category of poor people. These findings indicate the urgency of government-community relations that are carried out systematically and sustainably in all areas in the City of Tasikmalaya so that the government gets valid data on the number of poor people that is used as the basis for making policies regarding community empowerment as a form of relationship between the government and the community.
This study aims to reveal the impact of coal mining companies on people's lives in Tanjung Raman Village, Taba Penanjung District, Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province. The problems of this research focus on four main aspects of people's lives affected by coal mining, namely the physical environment, socio-economic community, public health, and social psychological community. This study uses a qualitative approach about four main aspects of people's lives affected by coal mining. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that there have been four impacts of coal mining companies on people's lives. This has an impact on the majority of residents using dug wells to meet their daily water needs; the occurrence of changes in employment opportunities, namely working as coal extraction in the Kemumu River and changes in work patterns from farming to coal collectors in the river; public health also declines such as the emergence of skin diseases; as well as the accumulation of community disillusionment that has been buried for a long time, which can lead to acts of violence. The results of this study conclude that there are four impacts of the company on people's lives which include the impact of the physical environment, socio-economic, public health and socio-psychological conditions of the community.
Pemberdayaan dan Peningkatan Kapasitas Pewawancara Beasiswa Cendekiawan Kampung melalui Pelatihan Berbasis Pengembangan Masyarakat. Cendekiawan Kampung merupakan lembaga swadaya masyarakat (LSM) yang memberikan beasiswa melalui kerja sama dengan pemerintah dan korporasi. Beasiswa yang diberikan bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sarjana muda di desa dengan karakteristik mampu mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang dihadapi di lingkungannya, memetakan potensi diri, merencanakan perubahan dan merealisasikan langkah-langkah solusinya. Dalam rangka memberdayakan dan memperkuat kapasitas pewawancara beasiswa, Cendekiawan Kampung memberikan pelatihan soft skill dan peningkatan kapasitas dalam strategi komunikasi dan wawancara kepada akademisi yang tergabung dalam kelompok pewawancara. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan dan memperkuat peran pewawancara melalui upaya yang terorganisir untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan pewawancara agar dapat melaksanakan tugasnya dengan baik. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh sepuluh dosen dan praktisi dari berbagai institusi dan perguruan tinggi di Banten, Jawa Barat dan Yogyakarta melalui Google Meet sebanyak tiga kali dengan masing-masing pertemuan selama kurang lebih 3 jam. Pelatihan diawali dengan sosialisasi, penyusunan instrumen dan workshop. Sosialisasi dilakukan oleh pengurus Yayasan Cendekiawan Kampung Indonesia dengan menjelaskan nilai-nilai inti dari para penerima beasiswa yang dikenal dengan Genius Kampung yaitu ilmi, nurani dan silaturahmi (INS). Selanjutnya penyusunan instrumen wawancara dan instrumen workshop yang digunakan dalam wawancara dilakukan dengan melakukan simulasi wawancara, dimana peserta berperan sebagai pewawancara dan peserta wawancara. Hasil pelatihan didasarkan pada analisis indikator kemampuan mengelola proses wawancara, yaitu peserta terampil menggunakan instrumen wawancara kepada calon penerima beasiswa Cendekiawan Kampung berupa manajemen waktu, akurasi pertanyaan sesuai pedoman, dan kemampuan melakukan penilaian. Empowerment and Capacity Building of Cendekiawan Kampung Scholarship Interviewers through Community Development-Based Training. Cendekiawan Kampung is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides scholarships through collaboration with the government and corporates. The scholarships provided aim to produce young scholars in villages with the characteristics of being able to identify problems faced in their environment, map out their potential, plan for change and realize the solution steps. In order to empower and strengthen the capacity of scholarship interviewers, Cendekiawan Kampung provides soft skill training and capacity building in communication and interview strategies to academics who are members of the interviewer group. This training aims to empower and strengthen the role of interviewers through organized efforts to increase the knowledge and abilities of interviewers to be able to carry out their duties properly. This training was attended by ten lecturers and practitioners from various institutions and universities in Banten, West Java and Yogyakarta through Google Meet three times with each meeting for approximately 3 hours. The training started with dissemination, preparation of instruments and workshops. The dissemination was carried out by the management of the Cendekiawan Kampung Indonesia Foundation by explaining the core values of the scholarship recipients, known as Genius Kampung, namely ilmi, nurani and silaturahmi (INS). Furthermore, the preparation of interview instruments and workshop instruments used in interviews was carried out by conducting interview simulations, where participants played the roles of interviewers and interview participants. The results of the training were based on the analysis of the indicators of the ability to manage the interview process, namely the participants were skilled at using interview instruments to the potential recipients of the Cendekiawan Kampung scholarship in the form of time management, accuracy of questions according to guidelines, and ability to conduct assessments.
Pendahuluan: Hipertensi di Indonesia merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian. Pada umumnya kasus kematian akibat hipertensi tidak ditandai dengan adanya gejala awal. Data dari WHO menujukkan bahwa penderita hipertensi di dunia pada tahun 2015 sekitar 1,13 Miliar orang dan diperkirakan pada tahun 2025 akan ada 1,5 Miliar orang yang terkena hipertensi. Data Riskesdas tahun 2018 menujukkan bahwa estimasi jumlah kasus hipertensi di Indonesia sebesar 63.309.620 orang, sedangkan angka kematian di Indonesia akibat hipertensi sebesar 427.218 kematian. Hipertensi menjadi faktor resiko utama untuk terjadinya penyakit-penyakit lain seperti penyakit jantung, gagal jantung kongesif, stroke, gangguan penglihatan dan penyakit ginjal. Salah satu upaya pencegahan yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan melakukan deteksi dini dan senam hipertensi khsusnya pada masyarakat kelompok usia produktif. Kegiatan ini memerlukan keterlibatan dari masyarakat setempat seperti kader kesehatan. Metode: Pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam jangka waktu satu bulan mulai dari persiapan sampai dengan pelaporan. Metode penyelesaian masalah pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah dengan melakukan penyegaran kembali tentang hipertensi dan pencegahannya serta melakukan praktik senam hipertensi, kegiatan ini bertujuan agar para kader kesehatan dapat memahami kembali tentang penyakit hipertensi, dapat melakukan deteksi dini dan pencegahan dengan mengajak masyarakat yang berisiko untuk melakukan senam hipertensi. Hasil dan pembahasan: Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman kader kesehatan tentang hipertensi dan pencegahannya sudah baik, hal ini terlihat dari respon kader saat kegiatan penyuluhan berlangsung, sebagian besar kader mampu menjawab pertanyaan yang dilontarkan oleh narasumber. Selain itu, respon kader pada saat praktik senam pencegahan hipertensi juga sangat baik, sebagian besar kader yang hadir dapat mengikuti gerakan senam yang telah dicontohkan oleh instruktur. Kesimpulan: kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan tema optimalisasi kader dalam pencegahan hipertensi yang telah dilakukan mendapat respon yang baik dari para kader, materi yang disampaikan dan praktik senam hipertensi dapat diikuti dan dapat menambah wawasan, keterampilan baru dalam upaya pencegahan hipertensi.
