The potential of various genera and species of rhizosphere bacteria is well known. This study aims to determine the diversity and physiological characteristics of the rhizosphere bacterial isolates of oil palm plants at PTPN III Aek Nabara Labuhanbatu North Sumatra. This research was conducted in July 2018 to October 2018 in laboratory of STIPER Labuhanbatu. This research was conducted by isolating bacteria from the root rhizosphere of oil palm plants, characterizing the morphology and physiology of isolates by phosphate dissolution test and indole acetic acid production test. Furthermore, the data was analyzed descriptively. Based on the isolation results obtained 10 bacterial isolates with different macroscopic and microscopic morphological characteristics with the largest amount of dissolved phosphate produced by isolate R05 (0.211 mg / l) and the largest amount of IAA produced by isolate R04 (0.097 mg / l). Isolates R05 and R04 have the potential to be further tested.
Sistem Kurikulum 2013 menuntut siswa untuk berperan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah maupun belajar secara mandiri. Sehingga perlu adanya media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami pembelajaran kimia. Kimia merupakan ilmu alam yang bersifat sebagai produk dan konsep sehingga dalam pembelajarannya dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan praktikum. Kegiatan praktikum dibutuhkan suatu perangkat sebagai panduan dalam kerja ilmiah yang disebut buku penuntun praktikum. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development model ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation).Penelitian ini hanya dilakukan pada tahap awal yaitu analisis buku penuntun praktikum. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah gambaran awal buku penuntun praktikum yang sudah ada untuk dilakukan pengembangan lebih lanjut menjadi produk buku penuntun praktikum kimia inovatif sesuai kurikulum 2013. The 2013 Curriculum System requires students to play an active role in the learning process at school and self-study independently. Therefore, learning media that can help students understand chemistry learning well are very necessary. Chemistry is a natural science that has characteristics as a product and concept so that in each learning process it can be done through practical activities. In carrying out practical activities, a tool is needed as a guide in scientific work called a practical guidebook. In this research, the study design used was the ADDIE Research and Development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). This study was only carried out at the initial stage, namely the analysis of the practical guidebook. The results obtained are the initial description of the existing practical guidebook for further development to become the product of an innovative chemistry practicum guide according to the 2013 curriculum.
Herbal tea is a general term used for beverages that are not derived from Camellia sinensis tea leaves. Herbal teas are made from the flowers, seeds, and roots of various plants. Lemongrass, roselle, and ginger are plants that have the potential to be used as herbal tea ingredients. This study aims to obtain the best formulation of lemongrass, roselle, and ginger herbal teas. This research was conducted using a single Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 concentrations of dried lemongrass, roselle, and ginger treatments. the lemongrass, roselle and ginger formulations used in this study were 1:1:1; 2:1:1; 1:2:1; and 1:1:2. The best formulation is the ratio of lemongrass, roselle, and ginger 1:2:1 with total phenol characteristics of 11.159 mg GAE/g; antioxidant activity 79.7%; acidity 3.24; and the description of the colour Dark Moderate Orange with organoleptic test results showed a rather like result on overall acceptance.
Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah mutu pendidikan dan karakter peserta didik adalah dengan melaksanakan penyempurnaan dan perubahan kurikulum. Untuk tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran bermutu, maka dirancang standar perkuliahan yang akan menjadi acuan bagi seluruh dosen dalam proses pembelajaran dikelas. Agar kriteria di atas terpenuhi maka sistem pendidikan nasional harus menerapkan dan memberikan pendidikan yang jauh lebih responsive. Bahan ajar berfungsi sebagai pedoman bagi pendidik untuk mengarahkan semua aktivitas pembelajaran, sekaligus merupakan substansi yang diajarkan kepada peserta didik. Hasil observasi yang telah dilakukan pengamat terhadap bahan ajar yang digunakan pada Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa (buku pegangan) khususnya buku kimia analitik dasar, belum termasuk ke dalam bahan ajar yang inovatif. penelitian ini merupakan analisis kualitatif terkhususnya pada pokok bahasan analisis gravimetri. Bentuk inovasi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar kimia dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development). Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan bahan ajar yang telah dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap hasil belajar kimia analitik dasar pada mahasiswa
