The purpose of this study was to identify and to obtain information related to the problems in the academic supervision process encountered by the school principals during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study utilized a case study method to obtain data on the constraints and consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic on academic supervision activities at Senior High School (SMA N) in Bangkinang. Data were obtained through questions filled in Google form. The respondents in this study were 4 senior high school principals in Bangkinang. The results of this study were that during the Covid-19 pandemic, supervision was conducted online based on various types of online tools such as Google Meet, Zoom, Google duo and WhatsApp. However, the principals experienced several obstacles in conducting online-based academic supervision due to the absence of standard applications provided by the government to facilitate the process of supervision. Also many teachers did not master the use of information technology (IT).
This study aimed to examine students’ learning motivation and satisfaction in attending lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic. This descriptive correlational study involved 155 students majoring in Early Childhood Education Teacher Education (PG-PAUD) registered in 2019, who were selected through total sampling technique. Data in this study were obtained by distributing two types of questionnaires (learning satisfaction level questionnaire and learning motivation questionnaire) to all students. Before distributing the questionnaires, they were validated by product moment correlation; then, their reliability was tested through Alpha Cronbach. Then, the data were analyzed descriptively and were examined by simple regression. This study revealed that the level of student satisfaction in attending lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic was at the medium category (48.38%) and their learning motivation was also at medium category (55.48%). Therefore, this study concluded that students were dissatisfied with the learning process conducted by the lecturer during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a consequence, this low level of learning satisfaction decreased the students’ motivation to attend the lecturers during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Media is one of the tools to facilitate the teacher in delivering the material, so that students easily and quickly understand the material presented. For that the author designed the learning media using Adobe Flash CS 6 program to learn to know numbers and counting. Type of research used is experiment. As for the population is suluruh students of Islamic Kindergarten Masythah Bukittinggi, sampling technique is a technique of Purposive Sampling. Technique of data collecting is done by test result of student learning, that is doing normality test and homogeneity test result obtained by t test, based on result of analysis of t test diole = 3,62> from t table 1,66 at the real level = 0, 05 means Ha accepted, means there are differences in student learning outcomes by using instructional media design and by using conventional methods. Data obtained by student learning result by using learning media design better than student learning result with conventional method. The average learning outcomes of the students in the experimental class were 80.73 with the standard deviation of 12.56, while the control class was 69.39 with the standard deviation of 12.74. From the test results of coefficient of determination that there is influence of learning media design based on Macromedia Flash to student learning result is 88,60%.
The purpose of this study was to clarify the impact of instructional leadership (X1) and change leadership (X2) on school achievement (Y). In this study, we used a quantitative approach. Data collected through questionnaires and documents. The survey sample consisted of 91 teachers and 21 schools. The data was analyzed by multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the variable that instructional leadership (X1), change leadership (X2), had an influence on school Achievement (Y), and the regression coefficient was 0.718. The format of the regression equation is: Ŷ = 52.71 + 0.519 X1 + 0.718 X2. The effective contribution of the instructional leadership (X1), change leadership (X2), on school Achievement (Y) variables was 30.22%. Keywords: instructional leadership, change leadership, and school achievement.
This study is conceptual research. It outlines the integration of collaborative model and discovery methods in language teaching. This concept has an advantage that it stimulates students to construct new knowledge through a collaborative and explorative way. This study discusses about the model of collaborative discovery method in which this model involves students to explore the knowledge both individually and in groups. The collaboration of individual and group study will encourage students’ active participation in learning. The model of collaborative discovery method becomes an ideal choice in language teaching.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
