Library as a medium of fulfillment of information needs should be able to provide optimal service to its users. One effort that can be done is to provide the most complete and latest collection so that the users' needs for information is satisfied. However, in the process of information-gathering, users often do actions that belong to vandalism (collection destruction) even in records, some books are missing and do not return to the library. So, one of the things to note related to this problem is the application of security systems in a library. Furthermore, this paper aimed to find out how the implementation of security systems for collections in the library, especially in the library of Yogyakarta city. From the results of the analysis, in general the security system collections implemented by the Yogyakarta City Library already meets the general standards. In particular, six (50%) from twelve components of the security standard are appropriate, one (8.3%) from the 12 components are sufficient and 5 components (41.7%) from the security standard are inappropriate. Appropriate components are buildings, lighting, locks, employee recruitment, security personnel, and collection areas. The sufficient component is the electronic security system. Last, inappropriate components include fences, gates, parking, communications, and identification systems.
This study aims to identify the level of ereadiness of the Library of Universitas Negeri Padang in the development of information technology-based libraries using the e-readiness tool developed by Mutula and Brakel (2006). Data in this study were obtained from questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the mixedmethod concurrent triangulation model. The sample in this study was determined by saturated sampling techniques to obtain quantitative data and purposive sampling to obtain qualitative data. Quantitative analysis shows that the readiness segment of the institution obtained a score of 3.12 which means that in the ready category, the human resource readiness segment obtained a score of 3.31 which is categorized as very ready, and the information readiness segment obtained a score of 2.89 which is categorized as ready. Meanwhile, the score of the infrastructure readiness segment was 3.09 categorized as ready while the external environment readiness segment had a score of 3.10 in the ready category. From the qualitative analysis, the findings showed that the Library Universitas Negeri Padang has applied information technology in almost all library activities and has been running quite effectively. However, it is still constrained related to the freedom of the library in managing the library software system that is still connected and integrated under the management of the computer center of the Universitas Negeri Padang.
Key capabilities that must be owned to survive the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is the ability to manage information. This information management is very closely related to information-seeking behavior which requires vision, hearing and speaking abilities. But how do those who have physical limitations, such as impediments in vision (visually impaired), disabilities in hearing (hearing impaired), or speech disabilities that automatically will make it difficult for them to process information optimally? The purpose of this research is to find out information-seeking behavior, especially for the blind in facing the industrial revolution era 4.0. The method used in this research was a descriptive qualitative obtained from interviews with three informants. The results of the study are that the needs of information by students with disabilities are generally the same as other students who are inseparable from the needs for general information (current events), information related to a subjectmatter in school, social life, and information in accordance with their hobbies. The search behavior requires guidance from the accompanying teacher/librarian and as a whole requires the internet in searching for information because the acquisition is fast and can be done anytime and anywhere.
