Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung pada perpustakaan sekolah SMPN 1 Nan Sabaris dengan cara menambah layanan pada Perpustakaan Sekolah SMPN 1 Nan Sabaris Kecamatan Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Target yang ingin dicapai adalah memberikan ruang makerspace kepada siswa sehingga siswa mempunyai sebuah ruang kreatifitas untuk menuangkan ide-ide dan kreatifitas di perpustakaan sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan observasi lapangan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan ini adalah bertambahnya jumlah pengunjung perpustakaan dan tersedianya sebuah ruang pada perpustakaan sekolah sebagai salah satu bentuk layanan terbaru yang disebut dengan layanan makerspace.
Library as a medium of fulfillment of information needs should be able to provide optimal service to its users. One effort that can be done is to provide the most complete and latest collection so that the users' needs for information is satisfied. However, in the process of information-gathering, users often do actions that belong to vandalism (collection destruction) even in records, some books are missing and do not return to the library. So, one of the things to note related to this problem is the application of security systems in a library. Furthermore, this paper aimed to find out how the implementation of security systems for collections in the library, especially in the library of Yogyakarta city. From the results of the analysis, in general the security system collections implemented by the Yogyakarta City Library already meets the general standards. In particular, six (50%) from twelve components of the security standard are appropriate, one (8.3%) from the 12 components are sufficient and 5 components (41.7%) from the security standard are inappropriate. Appropriate components are buildings, lighting, locks, employee recruitment, security personnel, and collection areas. The sufficient component is the electronic security system. Last, inappropriate components include fences, gates, parking, communications, and identification systems.
This paper contains a discussion of how to use the archive classification system at the Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs, State University of Padang. The use of this archive classification system aims to assist employees at the Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs, State University of Padang in using the archive classification system according to their respective work units. The research method used in writing this paper is a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation and interviews. The subject of data collection through observation at the Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs, State University of Padang. Observations are made by looking at how employees understand the classification of records. Furthermore, interviews were conducted with employees at the Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs, Padang State University. The author conducted a question and answer session with employees directly regarding the use of archive classification codes, the obstacles faced in using classification codes, and solutions to these problems. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the archive classification system in the Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs at the State University of Padang is actually used to assist employees in providing proper and correct archive classification codes. In the manual for the archive classification code at the Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs, State University of Padang, it can be concluded that the paper on the archive classification system at the Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs, State University of Padang is: (1) The archive classification system at the Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs, State University of Padang uses the subject system /problem (2) The archive classification system according to the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulation Number 23 of 2018 concerning Archive Classification, Archive Retention Schedule, and Security Classification System and Dynamic Archive Access in the academic and student fields has 6 archive classification codes, namely AK (academic) , TM (Student Admission), KR (Curriculum), EP (Educational Evaluation), Scholarship (BW), Student Affairs (KM).
This paper aims to describe the various types of braid in Padang Pariaman in terms of the artificial value and implicit knowledge contained in the braid. The objective to be achieved in this paper is to increase community knowledge on the types of braid in Padang Pariaman Regency and the values contained. The method used is ethnographic which results in the form of verbal descriptions from the informants who master and understand something through the process of acculturation which is not just knowing but also living. Besides, they are still classified as involved in the activities being studied. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, field notes, interviews and documentation. The results reveal that the braid in Padang Pariaman District had quite high artificial values. The braids which have philosophical value, cultural value and economic value are pandanus mats braid, bamboo braid and braid from coconut leaves while braids which have economic value without historical value are braid from ribbon, curtain and braid from stick.
