This study aimed to: assess the social culture of Bajo community and examine Bajo community factors moving from sea to land and describe the pattern of settlement space between Bajo Tribe at the sea level and Bajo Tribe on land. This research was a descriptive study with a qualitative inductive approach. This research was conducted in February 2020 with the type of data collected were primary and secondary data. This study shows that changes in the pattern of Bajo community settlements in Kelurahan Bajoe are influenced by several aspects including the social changes in Bajo community (social interaction, orientation to livelihoods, the use of Bajo local language, and there has been a change in settlement patterns because they are driven by the desire to live on land, activities such as trade and education, and the affordability of raw materials on land, changes in settlement patterns (settlement patterns, building orientation, building shape and building use).
This article aims to describe how the economic culture of fishing communities in the area of Lake Tempe, Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi, in the face of tough times in two seasons. The existence of Lake Tempe made a lot of people who lived around him rely and making the Lake as a place to look for earnings. Its unique characteristics make Lake Tempe utilized in different ways in accordance with the seasons. It makes the community experience different issues between rainy season and dry season. This research used qualitative methods to get the depiction as a whole on the question of research. The results showed that the activity of fishing communities is changing depending on the season. It has resulted in the community get to know two of the famine, with different problems. The difference of the season brings socio-economic conditions of the difference is then also bring the community on different adaptation patterns. In the rainy season, people are faced with the problem of floods, and in the dry season, people should experience times of economic hardship. For that matter, any other uses different patterns. The rainy season, they adapt by designing the House in accordance with the conditions of the flood. They made rakkeang, bale-bale, Pallangga and patto'do. In the dry season, they overcame economic hardship by switching professions to become farmers, builders, and other informal sector jobs.
The aim of this study is to examine cocoa farmers' capacity to adapt to climate change in the Bantaeng district. This is a research study including qualitative-descriptive data analysis. This is a way of analyzing research data in order to arrive at a conclusion. Qualitative analysis is used to describe and characterize cocoa farming, as well as to analyze cocoa farmers' adaptation strategies in the research region. The findings indicated that cocoa farmers in Bantaeng, Gantarangkeke, and Tompobulu districts adapted by substituting coffee, cloves, and porang plants for their cocoa plants, but only in the Tompobulu region, where the plants had already matured. Cocoa plants are nearing the end of their useful lives.
