The objectives of this study were to describe the society’s empowerment in improving the quality of the learning media, learning process, and learning assessment in school. This research applied qualitative with ethnography research design. The data were collected by in-depth interview, observation, and documentation; while the data analysis technique used was the interactive analysis. The results of the study showed the following conclusions. (1) In order to gain good quality learning, it is a must to prepare a good learning media. The minimum component in developing the learning media (syllabus and lesson plan) must content the learning objectives, learning material, study source, and learning assessment. (2) The learning process must use various ways to encourage students’ interest and curiosity, including using various methods, using language styles that are not monotonous, asking questions that guide students’ creativity, using multi-method and multimedia, and giving assignments individually and in groups to students. (3) The assessment becomes a very important thing to determine the level of success in the learning that has been done.
The goal of this study is to investigate children's involvement in gardening project to improve their scientific knowledge and collaboration amongst their peers and adults in the preschool. The method of this research is a case study with inquiry-based approach using 5E (engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration and evaluation) where gardening as the main activity. Children were observed and documented to collect data during four meetings of the study. Meanwhile, the study site is a childcare in Gorontalo with the total children involved are eighteen. The results show that gardening activities provide children with real-life experience and boost the knowledge of plants. Also, they are capable to lead their own learning which is driven by their curiosities, open-ended questions and the opportunities to experiment and collaborate in this science project. Teacher also has indispensable role not only to achieve the curriculum standards but importantly, facilitating children's learning through exploration in order to provide meaningful and factual experiences during their childhood period.

Penelitian ini merupakan penilitian kualitatif deskriftif yang akan memberi gambaran tentang menumbuhkan sikap tenggang rasa terhadap satu sama lain. Zaman seperti sekarang ini, kesadaran dan kepedulian manusia terhadap sesama sudah sangat berkurang. Hanya sebagian kecil saja yang mau peduli terhadap lingkungan di sekitar. Sikap tenggang rasa merupakan salah satu dari butir-butir Hal ini melatarbelakangi penulis untuk membuat artikel ini, karena mengembangkan sikap tenggang rasa antar sesama sangat penting untuk dikembangkan, sehingga dapat terwujud suatu kehidupan yang rukun antar sesama.
