Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin mutluluk ile psikolojik sağlamlık düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmak ve psikolojik sağlamlığın mutluluk üzerindeki yordayıcı rolünü değerlendirmektir. Bununla birlikte araştırmada, öğretmenlerin mutluluk düzeylerinin cinsiyet, medeni durum, görev alanı, hizmet süresi, okul öğrenci sayısı ve kitap okuma durumuna dayalı farklılıkları incelenecektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Malatya ili Battalgazi merkez ilçesindeki ortaokullarda görev yapan, 169'u kadın (%41.3), 240'ı erkek (%58.7) toplam 409 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada öğretmenlere, "Kişisel Bilgi Formu", "Oxford Mutluluk Ölçeği Kısa Formu" ve "Kısa Psikolojik Sağlamlık Ölçeği" uygulanmıştır. Yapılan analizlerde ikili değişkenler için t-Testi ve çoklu değişkenler için tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ile LSD tekniği kullanılmıştır. Psikolojik sağlamlık ile mutluluk arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olup olmadığını belirlemek amacıyla Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Katsayısı tekniğinden ve basit regresyon analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre; mutluluk için cinsiyet, medeni durum, görev alanı ve hizmet süresi değişkenleri açısından anlamlı bir fark olmadığı görülmüştür. Diğer değişkenler olan kitap okuma durumu ve okul öğrenci sayısı ile mutluluk arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Psikolojik sağlamlık ve mutluluk arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmaktadır (r=.48, p< .01). Psikolojik sağlamlık mutluluğun anlamlı bir yordayıcısıdır (R 2 = .24) Araştırmanın sonuçları ilgili alanyazın doğrultusunda tartışılmış ve öneriler sunulmuştur.
The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of the exam anxiety psycho-education program in decreasing the exam anxiety levels of students. Design & Methodology: Experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group was used in the study. The research was conducted on 8 th grade students studying in a secondary school in Malatya province center. There are three groups in the study: the experimental group, the control group and the placebo group and there are 15 students in each group. The students in the three groups were selected on a voluntary basis. Examination Anxiety Inventory was applied as data collection tool. The non-parametric Mann Whitney-U test was performed to determine whether the scores of the experimental and control group's pre and post exam anxiety significantly differed. The non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used to determine whether the experiment, control, and placebo groups showed significant differences in exam anxiety post-test scores compared to exam anxiety pre-test scores. Findings: According to the research findings, it was concluded that the psycho-education program was effective in reducing the exam anxiety of the students. Implications & Suggestions: According to the results of the research it was found that the psycho-education program was effective in reducing the exam anxiety of students. Psycho-education programs aimed at reducing exam anxiety need to be applied more in middle school students.
The purpose of this research is to investigate the relation between teachers' levels of happiness and optimism and whether happiness changes significantly according to variables of sex, branch, the thought of professional respectability, enjoying the occupation and the situation of reading book or not. The sample of the research is composed of 540 (315 female, 225 male) branch teachers. In this study, "Personal Information Form", "Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (Short Form)" and " Optimism Scale" were used as data collection tools. T-test for binary variables and ANOVA statistical technique for multiple variables were used in the analyses conducted. According to results of the research; it has not been seen a significant difference in happiness scores of teachers in terms of sex. It has been seen a significant difference in happiness scores in terms of other variables of branch, the thought of professional respectability, enjoying the occupation and the situation of reading book. It has been found that school counsellors have a higher happiness score than branch teachers have, teachers who like their occupations have a higher happiness score than they who do not like their occupations have, teachers who find teaching as a respectable occupation have a higher happiness score than they who do not find teaching as a respectable occupation have. On the other hand, it has been determined that the increase in the number of reading book is effective on happiness. When the relation between optimism and happiness has been investigated, it has been found that there are at a level of .64 relation besides, optimism predicts happiness about 41 percent. The results of the research have been discussed in accordance with the relevant literature and the suggestions have been offered.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the perception and expectations of the director, deputy director and teachers about the psychological counseling and guidance services in secondary schools. Descriptive screening method was used in this study. Sample of the study consists administrators and teachers who work in secondary schools in Malatya province and districts in the academic year 2016-2017.First question is "What does the school counseling and guidance service mean to you?". As a result of the answers received; Themes that provide guidance, help, directing, providing information, taking precautionary measures, learning activities of students, and providing bridge / cooperation in teacher-parent relations are reached. Second question is "In which situations are you directing your students to the school counseling and guidance services? Answers; When the class guidance counselor cannot solve the problem, students with the Problem are in the form of pupils without a Problem and when the School administration cannot resolve the problem. The third question is What are your expectations for vocational, educational and personal guidance from school counseling and guidance services? Answers; Doing his job, Loving his field, More vocational guidance, More educational guidance, More personal guidance, More communication with parents and Understanding what psychological counselling and guidance service is for students. In order for the manager, assistant manager and teachers to work in cooperation and meet the expectations; The school counseling and guidance services of the school counselors can be given both by the school administration and by teachers and teachers.
