The aim: Scientific substantiation of physiological-hygienic standards of motor activity of students of higher education institutions and ways of its optimization in the context of formation of an effective public health system. Materials and methods: The criteria for physiological-hygienic assessment of students’ motor activity were: the values of daily energy, the quantity of locomotions, the duration of dynamic component in daily budget of time. Results: The data of complex assessment of the modern students’ motor activity studying in the institution of higher medical education showed its low level. At the same time the application of measures aimed at optimizing motor activity of students ensured an improvement (p<0.01-0.001) of the functional characteristics of the mobility and balance of nervous processes and index of coordination of movements. Conclusions: In the course of the researches the physiological-hygienic standards of motor activity of students are scientifically substantiated: values of daily energy consumption – 9000-11000 kJ in young women, 11500-13500 kJ in young men, the quantity of locomotions in the daily cycle – 14000-18000 steps and 15000-19000 steps respectively, the duration of dynamic component in daily budget of time – 130-180 min and 140-190 min respectively.
The health of student youth is largely determined by the level of functional capabilities of the organism, which depends on the level of motor activity, that is the total number of movements that a person performs in a given period of time. The purpose of the work is to establish the features of the relationship between the characteristics of adaptive capacity, functional status and level of development of psychophysiological functions and criteria for motor activity of students. The research was conducted on the basis of National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, where 385 students (200 young girls and 185 young boys) were supervised, who, taking into account the peculiarities of the distribution of different levels of motor activity, were divided into 3 comparison groups – with potentially low, medium and potentially high levels of motor activity. The values of daily energy consumption, number of locomotions and duration of the dynamic component in the daily budget were used as the leading criteria of hygienic assessment of students’ motor activity. Functional features and adaptive capabilities of the organism were determined using conventional methods. The analysis of the obtained results involved the use of a standard application package of multidimensional statistical analysis “Statistica 6.1 for Windows”. The results of studies conducted on the basis of correlation analysis procedures indicate the fact that the largest number of correlations between the characteristics of psychophysiological functions and the leading characteristics of health and indicators of academic performance in professionally oriented disciplines studied are recorded in girls, and boys who belonged to the group with an average level of physical activity (daily energy expenditure of 9000-11000 kJ in young girls and 11000-13500 kJ in young boys). The use of cluster analysis procedures during the prognostic assessment of indicators of health and academic performance in professionally-oriented disciplines, made it possible to identify 3 clusters of the studied characteristics of the functional state of students, which have the most pronounced effect on their values: visual-motor speed cluster (indicators of the latent period of simple and differentiated visual-motor response), visual-sensory cluster (indicators of critical fusion of light flickers and efficiency of work performed) and integrative-coordination cluster (a number of indicators that reflect the properties of major nervous processes, characteristics coordination of movements, indicators of attention functions, etc.). Using factor analysis procedures, it determined that both young girls and young boys have the most positive impact on academic performance in vocational disciplines such factors as “functional state of the visual sensory system”, “functional state of coordination” and “functional state of higher nervous activity”.
Objective: We established and scientifically substantiated the psychohygienic principles of using health-preserving technologies in modern institutions of higher education. Materials and methods. The research was conducted on the basis of National Pyrohov Memorial Medical University. A well-structured set of highly informative modern hygienic, medical-sociological, psychophysiological and psychodiagnostic methods and methods of statistical analysis were used to adequately achieve this goal. Results. The data obtained in the course of research indicate that as conceptual psychohygienic principles of effective use of health-preserving technologies in modern institutions of higher education should be noted: (1) regime-adaptive principle of application of psychohygienic components in the structure of modern health-preserving technologies, which determines the need to take into account the main regime elements of educational and extracurricular activities of students in specific conditions of the educational process, determining and constantly monitoring the level of educational adaptation and academic performance of students, especially in professionally oriented disciplines; (2) psychophysiological principle of application of psychohygienic components in the structure of modern health technologies, which is determined by the level of development of leading socially and professionally significant psychophysiological functions of the body of girls and boys; (3) personal principle of application of psychohygienic components in the structure of modern health technologies, which is related to the peculiarities of assessing the processes of formation of leading personality traits of student youth, which play an important role under the influence of both favorable and, above all, unfavorable educational factors. extracurricular activities; (4) integrative-functional principle of application of psychohygienic components in the structure of modern health technologies, which is determined by the presence of deep relationships between individual components of the functional state and adaptive capacity of young girls and young boys, which have a complex impact on health and theoreticalу- and, mainly, practically-significant components of students’ training. Conclusions. In the course of the research the leading psychohygienic principles of using health-preserving technologies in modern modern institutions of higher education have been identified and scientifically substantiated.
The aim: Scientific substantiation of the method of screening assessment of the degree of risk of prenosological changes in the state of the mental health of school-age pupils in the context of the analysis of behavioral aspects of public health. Materials and methods: The level of neuroticism of young women and men was assessed based on the use of the Eysenck рersonality questionnaire, the level of state, trait and school anxiety – according to the Spielberger State-Trait Personality inventory and Phillips school anxiety questionnaire, the level of emotional burnout – based on the use Boiko questionnaire, the level of aggressive manifestations – according to data Bassa-Darkness questionnaire, the level of depression – based on the use data of Zung self-rating depression scale. Results: The method of screening the degree of risk of prenosological changes in the mental health of school-age pupils involves determining the degree of expression of neuroticism, state, trait and school anxiety, emotional burnout, aggression and depression. The obtained data are evaluated in standardized scores, which are used to calculate the integrated indicator of mental health and the integrated indicator of dynamic changes in mental health, on the basis of which the person is classified as minimal, low, moderate or high risk of mental health abnormalities. Conclusions: The proposed method is a simple and easy to use, highly informative tool for identifying adverse prenosological changes in mental health of school-age pupils in the context of analyzing the behavioral aspects of public health.
One of the key problems of modern biomedical anthropology is the scientific substantiation of the prerequisites for the formation of a healthy lifestyle, the introduction of health-saving technologies that take into account its, psychophysiological and personality features. The aim of the study is biomedical and physiological and hygienic assessment of motor activity of students of modern institutions of higher education and scientific substantiation of ways of its optimization. 385 students aged 19 to 21 were under observation during the research. As quantitative criteria for assessing motor activity, the values of daily energy consumption, the number of locomotions in a daily cycle and the duration of the dynamic component in the daily budget of time were used. The qualitative description of the values of motor activity was carried out on the basis of studying the main types of locomotives and their distribution patterns with the allocation of zones of minimal (hypokinesia), optimal (normokinesia) and maximum (hyperkinesia) values. The statistical analysis of the received materials provided for the application of the standard package of applications “Statistica 6.1”. As the norms of motor activity of modern students, the following indicators are determined: daily energy consumption values – 9000-11000 kJ for young women and 11000-13500 kJ for young men; number of locomotions in a daily cycle – 14000-18000 steps for young women and 15000-19000 steps for young men; the duration of the dynamic component in the daily budget time – 130-180 minutes in young women and 140-190 minutes in young men. Among the leading ways of optimizing motor activity are: the implementation of continuous monitoring and individualized integrated assessment of habitual motor activity; taking into account the norms of motor activity of student youth, which provide a beneficial effect on the processes of formation of their health and adaptive capacity of the body of future specialists and the mandatory achievement of their values; development and implementation of a set of measures aimed at optimizing motor activity and rational organization of motor activity of modern students.
