This article describes a new method of viewing a historical phenomenon based on its social significance. This method enabled the classification and analysis of a group in a context simultaneously and chronologically. Using historical phenomenology, the authors found a polarisation of Chinese Muslims’ thoughts and practices in the Indonesian context. As an example, the technique of classification of Islamic thoughts is illustrated to discover Chinese Muslim figures’ religious activities. This method allows an improved social investigation to probe deeply into Chinese Muslims’ formal religious life. The evaluation of the effectiveness of the new method is confirmed by the calculation of the polarisation of Chinese Muslim religiousness, leading to the fragmentation and diversification of Indonesian Chinese Muslims in the realms of politics, economic practices or Islamic rituals. New research results improve the understanding of how a social history of an ethnicity could grow and assimilate in a context. The assimilation could contribute to religious harmony in such a pluralistic country such as Indonesia and can be used for making better social decisions, especially related to the lives of minorities, who urgently need policymakers and stakeholders to accommodate the rights of those who are still in the process of gaining fairer recognition.Contribution: Using historical phenomenology, this article tries to classify and study a group in a setting concurrently and chronologically. An in-depth social inquiry into the formal religious life of Chinese Muslims discovered a calculation of religious Chinese Muslims’ polarisation, which led to the dispersion and diversification of Indonesian Chinese Muslims’ politics, economic practices and Islamic rituals. New policy proposals can be made by evaluating religious polarisation.
This study aims to determine the effect of e-readiness, e-learning, e-book on the achievement of graduate students; and the influence of e-readiness, e-learning, and e-books on the achievement of graduate students. The research population is graduate students with a sample of 210 doctoral students in Jakarta. The sample selection method is simple random sampling. The research method is a survey method with an associative approach. The data analysis technique is structural equation modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS 3.3.3 software and the data was obtained through the distribution of online questionnaires. The results show that there was an effect of e-readiness on graduate achievement; there was an effect of e-learning on graduate achievement; and finally, there was an effect of e-books on graduate achievement. This research can indicate that the curriculum developed by the students is in accordance with the learning outcomes, especially in the implementation of the learning process.
Entering a new normality or better known as new normal makes all people have to be brave and care about the health aspects as an antipathy step or an adaptation to the Covid 19 pandemic that is still ongoing without exception those who are involved in the field of Education. Many teachers are stuttered and forced to use various online distance learning tools, ranging from Google classes, Webinars through Zoom, Google Meet, Hang Out, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx. This paper presents the results of monitoring and evaluating the use of ICT in Madrasah. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method consisting of learning documentation, observation, and in-depth interviews with the use of ICT in Madrasah. The results of the study revealed that the use of ICT by teachers in madrasah was used to search material, download material, use email, practice tests online, use of google classroom, and webinars using the Zoom application, whereas the use of ICT to students was more in the form of assignments to students making videos, uploads school work using social media accounts (facebook, Instagram, twitter), use of the Quiper e-learning application, and QR Barcodes. the main problem is that networking is sometimes difficult to obtain and many students are even more literate in using online applications than the teacher himself.
Budaya dan agama adalah dua arahan kehidupan yang dekat dengan masyarakat Indonesia. Indonesia disebut sebagai negara beragama sekaligus negara yang kaya akan kearifan lokal yang mengatur bagaimana seharusnya manusia berlaku. Salah satu budaya yang akrab dengan keramahtamahan dan penuh dengan nilai moralitas di Indonesia adalah Sungkeman. Prinsip ini sejalan dengan Kekristenan yang menjunjung penghormatan kepada orang tua dan orang lain sebagai tindakan yang perlu tetap dilaksanakan. Budaya sungkeman sebagai nilai luhur mesti dilakukan dan dilestarikan oleh seluruh masyarakat Indonesia, terkhusus generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi korelasi hukum taurat ke-15 yaitu menghormati orang tua dengan budaya Sungkeman Desa Samirono yang berimplikasi kepada bagaimana seharusnya seorang Kristen hidup dalam etika budaya, khususnya generasi muda. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil riset lapangan di Desa Samirono, Jawa Tengah. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya terdiri dari wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya Sungkem memiliki nilai implementatif sesuai hukum taurat ke-5 yang harus dilakukan setiap hari bukan hanya momen pernikahan dan lebaran Ketupat. Riset ini merekomendasikan agar internalisasi nilai-nilai menghormati sesama digemakan dalam ibadah-ibadah dan kelas-kelas pemuridan gereja, terkhusus bagi generasi muda yang sudah mulai terpapar arus globalisasi negatif.
As the basis of the Indonesian state, Pancasila has positive values that can embody in all aspects of community life, including the younger generation who will continue the leadership of the Indonesian nation. It must consider because of the exposure to radicalism that is currently targeting the younger generation. The younger generation is seeing as individuals who have great potential to commit harmful actions against their nation. That is why educational institutions need to instill the noble values of Pancasila in their students as early as possible so that the values of togetherness and unity that they are holding are not intolerant. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate the values of Pancasila students in the STT Bethel Indonesia environment. The method used to reveal this fact is a case study that portrays social interactions through intensive in-depth surveys. The results of the study state that STT Bethel Indonesia institutionally and individually practices the values of Pancasila by respecting the differences that exist, both ethnicity, race, and class. STT Bethel Indonesia instills the value of Pancasila students for each student through religious and educational activities. Every morning before the start of the teaching and learning class, group prayer is holding to increase the value of student religiosity. In addition, the narrative that is building for students is to love each other because it is a mandate that God has given to humans to do.
